Well this may sound ridiculous, but i just heard a story from my dad that her sister too had Keratosis Pilaris. And one treatment she tried was eating a monkey. I think it was the meat of the monkey.


(this was in the philippines) it was like a last resort for her to try out and she said it worked sorta.

i'm just asking if any of you have any knowledge of this...?
i know this may sound freaky but..i'm just rather curious.

Well, this really sounds strange! I had to google "monkey meat skin health". Six of the first ten links warned of diseases contracted by eating monkey meat, the worst being that this is how humans first contracted H.I.V.(theory). Perhaps eating this meat would not be risky if it were handled and cooked properly, but I am guessing at that.

No link (of the first 10) had a connection with skin health.

Most of us will never see a plate of monkey meat in front of us. And there are so many other options to try, some of which are actually successful, for lessening KP.

Thank you for sharing this story, as all avenues to healing should be explored. Many cultures have their own tried and true remedies, and we should all stay open-minded to new health practices.
