Breakthrough??? Gluten!!
Hi. I have been visiting this site for a few years now hoping that something would work for me. Sadly, nothing has so far. HOWEVER, I just went to a new doctor and was talking to her about some stomach problems that I have had for as long as I can remember (probably gradeschool). I seem to get really bad stomach pains from things that I eat sometime, I mean bad pains too! A lot of things seem to make me sick (intestinal tract sick), anyway she suggested looking into a gluten free diet sounds like it could be Celiac Sprue disease. I thought it was funny she had said that since I had read about the person that did the vega test and that was one of the main things they were sensitive to, and has since cleared up skin after eliminating gluten and I think a few other things too. So, I mentioned that to my doc and she said yes it can also give you weird skin rashes. I searched on the internet and found many other articles from people that have had the same connection. Celiac disease is weird, because you can have it, but not have any symptoms or just figure you have a sensitive stomach like I thought for so many years! I haven't started the gluten free diet yet, because it is in so many things. BUT, once I get it figured out and determined, I am going to try it. I can't imagine if my skin was smooth and clear! I had a baby 7 months ago and it got so much worse and has stayed that way! It's August and I have hardly worn shorts at all the whole summer ![]() |

Re: Breakthrough??? Gluten!!
Dylan,
Thank you for posting. Trying a gluten-free diet seems like a good place for you to start. Here are a few links where you can read about it: Gluten-free diet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Gluten-Free Diet: Grains and Flours By googling "gluten-free diet", you can find many more on line articles to read. If you try this diet and if it helps you, please let us know. kebod |
