For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

I have read that some ppl are having success by cutting out certain foods like wheat , dairy ect. i also read that some ppl think its linked to Candida... Well i have copied and pasted a Candida Detox Diet. These are a list of foods that you can eat and foods that you should avoid.

When following the Candida diet, you must make sure that your blood sugar levels are kept at an acceptable level by eating a substantial breakfast, lunch and supper. If you find that your energy level is low or you are experiencing dizziness while on the diet, it is probably due to low blood sugar. If this happens, simply add a mid-morning and mid afternoon snack. Please remember to drink lots of water in order to assist with the elimination of toxins from your body. After a few days of detoxifying, some of your symptoms may become worse and you could also experience headaches. This is quite normal and part of the detoxification process. It will improve after a few days and you will begin to feel healthier than you have felt for years! The Candida diet should be followed for 4 weeks, followed by a maintenance program as outlined.
You may not use sugar in any form. This includes sucrose (cane sugar), glucose and fructose (fruit sugar). Lactose (milk sugar) must be kept to a minimum.

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

There are many different diets followed to eliminate candida. Most diets are much stricter than the one posted above and do not allow carb foods, as carbohydrates and sugar (fruit, dairy, veggies high in sugar, like beets, corn, carrots, peas and potatoes) all feed candida, a fungus. Candida can be so hard to get rid of, and will take longer if you continue to eat carbs and forms of sugar. Carbohydrates convert to sugar, and sugar feeds fungus.

I have been on a candida diet for over a year. I am very aware of my symptoms, and I know if I eat any of the first 13 items on the approved list above, my symptoms become more acute. Further down the list, I also can't eat potatoes, rice, popcorn, nuts, and hummus. On the weekly list, the only allowed food on my diet is a small amount of tomato paste.

Thank you for sharing this diet with the forum, KtheF. I just want to let everyone know that there are many different anti-candida diets, some stricter than others. I have had candida a long time and it is not easy to get rid of. I know that some diets allow fruit and other carbs, but this is what works for me.

Everybody has candida albicans in their bodies all the time. The problem occurs when something, like birth control pills or antibiotics, lessen the good bacteria in our gut that keep candida under control. Then candida can have an overgrowth, called candidiasis. A common test, the spit test, isn't always reliable.

To find out if you have candida, take Dr. Crook's test:
Candida test, the candida questionnaire by Dr. William Crook

If you ever have to take antibiotics, be sure to take a probiotic supplement or eat lots of yogurt to maintain the population of good stomach bacteria.

Water Diet

All natural cures are the best solution to any illness or disease. They don't have the horrible side effects and health risks. That's why curing male Candida with garlic is one of the best solutions to use.

One of the most effective methods for curing male Candida with garlic is to use whole cloves of garlic. Take 3 cloves of garlic and boil it in 2 ounces of water. Purified or distilled water is best as it doesn't have all of the additives and chemicals that tap water has. Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes. Add to tablespoons of Epsom salt to the mixture. Apply this to the infected are 3 or 4 times a day until the infection is gone.It helps to keep the bodies ph level in balance as well as replenish the micro-organisms in the body that feed in the fungus and other unhealthy organisms and fungus in the body.

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

I am not doing the candida diet but I am taking wheat out completely. I have no "allergic" reactions to food, but very sensitive, dry, itchy skin and kp. If nothing changes without wheat in my diet, I may try taking yeast out. I don't eat dairy as it is so that can't be it...

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

I've been doing lots of reading again, too
On general malnutrition, candida, parasites, malabsorption and specific to my case - hypothyroidism.
I went for a test last week, and am awaiting the results, but I think if I have developed it over the years, that it has left my immune system weak and vulnerable to candida overgrowth and the like. Not to mention that most celts seem to have a sensititive gut to begin with - my uncle's family has celiac disease, for example, and both sides of my family are irish.

Anyways, after burrowing into a lot of articles, i'm back at it again...
This time, I'm combining solutions. Oral treatment, topical treatment.
I've decided to eliminate gluten from my diet for two months, while supplementing with high-quality vitamins and minerals. A friend of a friend once had KP to the degree I did, and he went through to become a nutritionist. He used himself as a guinea pig and self-supplemented with certain vitamins and minerals for a period of time, and changed his diet around... and successfully eliminated his KP.
That was the first example of success I had heard from that specific method of treament in the real world - not off this site.

I've started a blog to keep track of what happens to my body, and you can follow along at
' Treatment Journal ' ; I've only just started.

I have also found some Weleda Sea Buckthorn lotion at the place where I work! I was so baffled to see it there... anyways, I bought some and its great for keeping your skin moist.. and I have the worst luck with moisturizers - they just never do the trick for me.

I will post an update to the blog in a few days, so I see how I am feeling on the supplements, if I am experiencing caffeine and/or sugar withdrawal symptoms, how I'm sleeping, etc..
I will probably wait until thursday or friday to do so, because by then I will have my test results back to see whether or not I am hypothyroid.

Just a quick update!

EW,

If you experience sugar or caffeine cravings, have a big glass of water with a gram of Vit. C. That often helps.

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

my bumps on my chest was first diagnosed as yest infection, so i used this cream. Then i went back to the doctor and he said it is no longer yeast infection, it's KP. so i'm guessing the YI is gone.

Maybe it was candida all along?

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

mns,

It is possible it was candida all along. I have skin issues due to candida. Generally, candida, a yeast, likes moist places, like between toes, behind ears (my special itchy place), and other places I won't go into. But I also have KP, and they are different in appearance.

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

The thing is, I have to know So much information just to start candida diet. Yet the more i talk about the diet itself, i start to get inspired. lol. Maybe i'll just eat fruits and chicken and water for a month, will that be considered as a candida diet too? Lol.

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

mns,

First of all, take this simple on line candida quiz. Take either the 10-question or the 70-question quiz. Candida test, the candida questionnaire by Dr. William Crook
If the test results indicate you have candida, do a lot of googling and read about the diet. It does not allow fruit. Fructose is sugar. Sugar supports candida.

I really hope you don't have candida, but it is a good idea to take the test to find out.

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

I've scored an 80 on the big test one..I'm guessing that there's a possibility that i still have yeast/candida. Plus, my KP always did seem much flared up and darker than others..i'm guessing i do have Candida. I'lll be purchasing the pills, and start practicing the diet..i'm hoping to see changes.

How long would it take to see changes?

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

mns,

If you do have candida overgrowth and start a strict diet, you will see changes within a few days, though it may take much longer to see complete improvement. If you start a candida regimen, it is very important to do some research first.

Re: For those interested in A Candida Detox Diet

I wanna start try this diet if it means no KP, but it seems like it may cause unhappiness too, every food is bad for good, it's like you can only eat water and air. Who wants to live like that.
