KP Free finally!

I've been experimenting the past months on the best method to get rid of my KP and finally found something that worked for me.

I have a mild KP in the upper arms but its quite stubborn. I started with Microdermabrasion Crystals for about 1.5 months which helped smoothen my skin but did not totally get rid of my KP. Then used Neostrata AHA 15% (other product didnt work quite as well). It worked to some extent but after a few weeks when my skin has gotten used to it i didnt see further improvements. However it cleared most parts of my upper arms except for my shoulders which is really stubborn.

Then I started using Clean and Clear deep cleansing astringent with 2% Salicylic Acid and mixed it with 4 tablets of 500mg aspirin which also contains salicylic (i cannot find a higher percentage without getting a prescription so i improvised)

My daily routine is: AM: Splash of Astringent mixed with aspirin, let it dry and apply Neostrata AHA 15%. PM: Splash of Astringent. Then microdermabrasion 2-3 times per week. Im almost 100% clear except for the scarring which i can get rid of with AHA overtime and the occasional 2-3 bumps which is not bad at all.

yes, thank you for the info!

when you mixed the asprin with the astringent, did you just grind up the tablets and then let them dissolve? and was it four tablets per bottle of the astringent, or four tablets for every use?

Re: KP Free finally!

Hi Runner, i just grind the 4 500mg aspirin tablets per bottle of astringent. I mix it with Clean and Clear Astringent with 2% Salicylic Acid.

Its drying so you may want to put some moisturizer after it dries. I use glycerin oil at night only.

Since i dont see new bumps anymore im using it at nightime only. Then use Neostrata 15% AHA in the morning to help get rid of the scarring.

Re: KP Free finally!

thanks for your response, i think i will give this a try after i run out of apple cider vinegar (the toner i am currently using after showering). or maybe i will mix in some asprin with the apple cider vinegar toner...i wonder if that would help.

You still do microdermabrasion while you are using AHA? Wow, I'm surprised you have not gotten burnt from it. Everytime I have tried to combine the two, I burnt my skin and had to completely stop all treatment for about 2-3 weeks to allow my skin to heal. I don't recommend such a harsh treatment for anyone.

Yes i actually do both AHA and micro. I get a mild burn but no big deal for me as my skin can tolerate it but its not for everyone. So far my treatment with astringent with aspirin works awesome. I dont micro as much as before anymore (3x per week max) and now use AHA every other day to help with pigmentation/scarring but bumps are almost totally gone
