I've finally healed my KP.. Pictures included.

I have had KP for as long as I can remember. It started off with just my arms, but overtime took over the majority of my skin. My biggest issue was my thighs, all the red bumps and marks made me so self conscious that I could never show off my legs (which isn't fun when you are a teenager living in 100 degree summers).
I've tried a lot of different things. Retin-A, every cream, lotion and soap the dermatologist had to offer, the sea buckthorn treatment, a lot of microdermabrasion, chemical peels, etc (I'm an esthetician so I have access to a lot of different things to try). I've also gone the holistic route, having my mom (who is a reiki master) do healings, talking to other healers about what they felt I could do to heal my skin, never with any luck.
Finally I decided that it was up to me to heal myself. I
didn't allow myself to think negatively about my skin anymore, and told myself that my legs would be ready in time for summer. Everynight I meditated and pictured my skin clear, physically brushing away the negative energy from my legs.
One night while meditating on it, castor oil popped into my head. I remembered reading books written by Edgar Cayce where he believed castor oil could heal most things. I went to my bathroom, found my castor oil and rubbed it onto my legs. I took my time massaging it in, picturing my skin clear and believing that this would work for me.
The very next day, my skin looked SO much better. I couldn't believe it.
I started doing this every night, sometimes leaving the castor oil on all night, sometimes showering it off and using coconut oil after my shower.
I have only been doing this fo a few weeks and my skin has changed dramatically. I can't believe that this was the answer for me the whole time.
I know this kind of thing may not work for everyone, but if it helps inspire anyone, it's worth it.

These pictures were taken four days apart. FOUR DAYS. I didn't think it was possible.

the results are amazing! Please tell us more about your treatment. Where did you get the castor oil, how many times did u apply it? did u leave it on or wash it off most of the time? How is ur skin now?

I did a little research and found the following:

Quote:
Medicinal use of castor oil
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has categorized castor oil as "generally recognized as safe and effective" (GRASE) for over-the-counter use as a laxative, with its major site of action the small intestine.[17] However, it is not a preferred treatment for constipation.[18] Castor oil can also be used to induce childbirth, but doing so is sometimes cautioned against because it can lead to complications for the childbirth process, including dehydration of the mother and other risks associated with any inducement of pregnancy, such as fetal distress from too strong contractions, increased risk of uterine rupture, unintentional prematurity of the baby, and increased pain for the mother.[19]
Undecylenic acid, a castor oil derivative, is also FDA-approved for over-the-counter use on skin disorders or skin problems.[20]
Ricinoleic acid is the main component of castor oil and it exerts anti-inflammatory effects.

incredible. could castor oil be the answer? I hope so. it is not only natural but also very cheap compared to the other very expensive lotions. what is the brand of the castor oil and coconut oil you are using? were you using coconut oil before? for what purpose were you using castor oil before kp? thank you for your answers.

WOW. Good job.
Guess what I'll be adding into my lotion next?
further research clicking from Hope's info...undecylenic acid:
"Undecylenic acid is a natural fungicide and is FDA approved in over-the-counter medications for skin disorders or problems. It is the active ingredient in medications for skin infections, and relieves itching, burning, and irritation. For example, it is used against fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot, ringworm, Candida albicans. [3] It is also used in the treatment of psoriasis.[4]
Undecylenic acid is also proven to have anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that are effective on viral skin infections such as the herpes simplex virus. [5]"

Congrats sarahlove!

Your legs look amazing. Have u guys noticed the inflammation has disappeared!!! Castor Oil is brilliant for reducing redness and unclogging blocked pores from what I have read.

We would like to know the brand you are using and your method of application of the oil? From what i have read, the oil should be washed away with hot washcloth...

Please write back with further progress, look forward to hearing more!

Yes, Bunnyday, Castor Oil is famous in OCM circles. The castor oil is known to draw out zits and yuck from the skins pores. Maybe it is a real possiblity to help KP. I use it everyday in my OCM, but it had never occured to me to try it for this. My KP is all gone but I will see if my son wants to try it on his.

I see that the redness cleared and did it get ride of the bumps too; or did you not have bumps?
