Too shy for a back massage

I work in a pretty stressful environment and I've always wanted to get a good massage but I have a bit of KP on my back and am embarrassed to find the courage to go.

Has anyone else felt this minor problem before?

I would just ask my boyfriend to give me back massages but he is no professional.

Re: Too shy for a back massage

bushtucker, here are some things you should remember

1) You are the customer, it is your money - it is not a free service, and so they'd love to have your money.

2) People of allllll kinds get back massages. People with excess hair on their backs, who are overweight, who have burns or discolorations, scars, back acne.
Honestly? if you only have a bit of KP I wouldn't let it get to you. Massage therapists realize when they go into that profession, that they will be touching a lot of backs, and they realize that not everyone has perfect, clear and glowing skin! It would be like going to see a doctor about athletes foot. You might be embarrassed, but the doctor's job is to help you with that problem, a problem many people have and get often - and I'm sure that doctor would have seen so much of that condition, and so many other, worse conditions that it would not phase him/her at all.

Go and enjoy yourself!!
