tell ya how bad it was when i was a kid the dermatologist didnt even call it kp or keratosis pilaris lol he just said u have some form of eczema lol

yea i dont know why i didnt have it like some people mine wasnt that inflammed it was more like flesh colored goosebumps that were sandpaper feel. dont know why some peoples bumps get more inflammed than others its kinda weird.

but i always noticed that i had a lot less body hair then most people.

my arms are more like a womans arms when it comes to my skin i never had the hairy masculine arms that most guys have and i never had chest hair so maybe that helped i dont know.

and i was very lucky not to have kp on my face or buttocks it actually spreaded more the older i got thats why i dont know why dermatologist say it gets better with age sometimes it gets worse

im hoping this new pill will work for you and ur sons. it hasnt been out long and i checked the ingrediants that tina posted and went out today and bought everyone of them seperately . i think there mite really be something to this at least im hoping. it sure has helped tina and my research on white willow bark and dandylion roots among a few other herbs has me wondering .

i mean turquise treatment with the aluminum oxide crystals and aha glycolic acid will do the same for everyone cause its a external treatment as im living proof. but i still dont like the fact i cant get in the sun and applying acid all the time. so im looking for that internal treatment.

Just responding to something you said germanboner. I have acne and KP, the oiliness is really only on my T-zone and chin, and all the pores that make oil get clogged and look dark (blackheads). I'm 18 and male if you're wondering, and my KP is basically everywhere, its not raised cones of built up dry skin, its more like red/brown clogged looking pores, and on my face and nexk and back and sometimes chest I get these hard pieces of keratin that constantly grow, probably like 1/8'th of an inch every day. I pick to remove them, but I don't know why. They just grow back, and sometimes picking leads to infected hair follicles, which was probably why my first dermatologist misdiagnosed me with "folliculitis" instead of KP.

Oh and I randomly get a few pimples here and there from head to foot, but its the worst on my face, mainly my chin. And I mean pimples, they are red around the edge, soft to the touch, and filled with puss/sebum. As they heal the pore sometimes starts getting a keratin cener, because of the never-ending KP, which makes my acne take forever, if its ever does, to heal up and return to "normal".

Hey I actualy ordered the Acneticin a couple weeks ago and received it in the mail about 4 days ago. I have been using it for these four days but i cant tell if it is getting any better or not. Because I tan and that helps keep everything at bay. What should I expect?

Be careful guys! I know we all want to believe in miracles, but make sure you are really researching a product before you drop your hard earned cash on it.

My miracle product of the moment? Burt's Bees Miracle Salve. Coconut oil was too greasy and caused the severe kp on my arms to get even worse. I use this salve on a lot of my cuts and bruises to help them heal faster and thought "Why not try it on my arms?" I put it on every day after I shower and apply it whenever it seems to have completely soaked in. It is a solid, but will melt when applied to your skin. My arms are doing SO much better. I have used almost an entire tin (2 oz. tin sells for abou $9, and you can find it at Walgreens or Wholefoods) in about 4 weeks, and my left forearm (which was terrible) has NO kp bumps on it today! My arms are super smooth, and I am comfortable with my husband rubbing his hands on them now. The scarring and blotchiness is about 60% reduced as well. I also use the extra moisturizing Dove Cream Oil bodywash in Creamy (in a light pink bottle, about $4 at Wal-Mart) when I shower. I place a dollop of it on my bath pouf (a must for kp, gently exfoliates), and rub it over my kp in gentle circular motions for about a minute (be gentle or you will only irritate your kp and cause scabbing). I actually use it on my whole body, as I was starting to get kp on my inner thighs, but this stuff seems to have stopped it in it's tracks (I also use coconut oil on my legs directly after my shower).
