Trying to Treat K/P- DIET,ESSENTIAL OILs
Hi Board!
I found this forum a few days ago, and have been reading tons of posts before i decided to post. I have moderate K/P on my upper arms only but they hurt, itch, look horrific, and I really just want them gone. I have never specifically addressed the issue as one to treat because i didn't know what they were for a long time! and i have been using natural beauty products that helped stop flare-ups...ie body butter that is 99 % natural paraben free no Petrochem. (i've used alba hawaiian (all 4 of the blends but kukui nut works the best), Sage (a canadian aruyvedic line), burts bees (carrot lotion!). i've also usled aveda and body shop UNTIL i became informed about the ingredients and also how much they helped my arms....(aveda caribbean lotion was ok but seemed to neither help nor hinder). body shop lotion smells good, but for me it was like applying toxic waste to my arms..plugged the pores on my body and my arms (and my skin is dry but quite clear otherwise)...oh also Korres body milk which was ok, but i want to try their yogurt body butter to see if that would help. right now i'm using burts bees because it's the most economically feasible for me right now. I've decided to really try and treat my KP naturally, i've used Watkins oil and lavender essential oil and rose hip oil before. But i recently bought the Aura cacia organic avocado oil medium bottle, and a bottle of organic tea tree oil. My plan is to buy rose hip oil, borage oil, and 3 other essential oils (still deciding what to use) and mix them with a 50% base of almond oil and use the avocado, rose hip and borage for an additional 40% dilution and use the essential oils at 3% each . I will use the tea tree oil as a spot treatment for bumps that become inflamed. I eat pretty healthy, and drink a lot of water, organic food mostly, and that has helped. lots of leaf vegetables seem to reduce inflamtation. as well as surprisingly advil(!!) seems to make the whole area smoother the day after i take it (although using advil for this is ill advised and not something i am doing or have done). I also started taking a multi vita and omega 3 fatty acids (specifically to help). I will update to tell you how my treatment is going. if anyone has suggestions for me i'd be happy to hear them. I also wanted to mention, that coconut oil is amazing, but i want to try this first as i have found a blend of healing oils is better than 1. -R- |

Re: Trying to Treat K/P- DIET,ESSENTIAL OILs
PS. I've been using JUST the avocado and tea tree oil for 5 days now (applyed 2X's + a day) blended in a 3:1 mixture (which i do right on my arms) and i've already seen improvement in smoothness, and reduced redness although i seem to get the same amount of single ones that head like a pimple as normal. I have to say i hate the smell, it's worse than chinese health tea.

Also Last one i promise (it's SAJE not sage and that would be my first choice as it seemed to heal my arms as well as be natural and a great all over body butter, but i can't afford to ship it online and there are no locations in ON or PQ).
