well then why u promiting other treatments apparently the aha didnt work for you cause these are ur comments Oh,I've just read your post on another thread,you're talkinga about the aha treatment.Been there,done that. well if its 100% completely gone like mine then why u looking for other treatments lol have a good day (smiles)

To get back on topic, I don't think the statistic is that unrealistic. Most people probably just have it mildly but mild KP is still KP.

I found it very interesting today I went to my German class and there were 4 girls wearing strappy tops (I was wearing a cardigan because I'm still not happy enough with my arms so show them) and 2 of the 4 had KP. It wasn't as bad as mine used to be but one of them was clearly a picker and she had about half a dozen scabs on each arm.

I think it's one of those things that most people who have it keep it covered up. I actually went to a play a few weeks ago and there was a woman with it at least as bad as I have who was wearing a strappy top.

I think it's one of those things you don't notice unless it's really bad or you're looking for it.

I totally agree. It's complete bs. There is no way kp affects that many people. Everywhere I go in the summer, very few people are covered from head to toe the way I am, and yet I rarely see anyone with signs of KP. If I am to assume that everyone covered has KP, it's still nowhere near 50% of the population.

As far as the part about it getting better is concerned, that is also bs. Yes, some lucky ones may grow out of it at some point (like my dad... though who knows how he managed that), but I would be willing to bet it won't get better for a majority of us, if we continue living the way we do.

So I guess it shows how up to date the information about KP is.

That is what is probably being taught right now though ...

What do you mean by 'apparently the aha didnt' work for you'.?Haven't you seen my pictures,it worked 100% and I'm very happy about it.
I'm not looking for other treatments i'm looking for a CURE!Applying acids on my skin for years isn't the best solution,I will not be totally satisfied until I get to the roots of this problem.

no what im saying is glycolic acid treatment alone doesnt work for everybody. it only has a 20% success rate , u must be one of the 20%. im saying for people who have just tried glycolic acid alone and that it didnt work need to do the dermabrasion with aluminum oxide crystals for 2 to 3 months to assure it will work. as this is stated turquise treatment.

in my case i had to dermabrasion the bumps and open them up before the glycolic acid would work , i was one of the 80% failure rate of using glycolic acid alone cases. im glad all u had to do was use glycolic acid to rid urself of the bumps but most people arent that lucky. most have to do the dermabrasion for 2 to 3 months before the glycolic acid will work thats all im saying. believe me i wish i could of did it like you but i had to do the dermabrasion first before the glycolic acid would work and im just letting people know in 80% of cases u have to do that but u can always try glycolic acid alone at first to see if it works and that u can skip the dermabrasion part of the treatment but for people who it didnt work for dermabrasion is required to guarantee results.

That's why it took me five to six months before I was kp free.I'm sure that dermabrasion would bring me fater results but I didn't know about it when started the treatment.
