I saw result after like 2 times a smooth patch on top of my thighs and every day a little more, now i can barely feel a bump. and i'm noticing my ashy knees and elbows and my heels are becoming softer. I just don't understand how i could have had a deficiency cause i eat well . maybe i just need much more than usual.

I haven't noticed a difference, but I haven't been taking it every day (I'm working very hard to finish my degree now so I keep even forgetting to eat sometimes) so I don't know if you can count mine.

I think because the idea is to get a flush, which is a form of detoxing. Goodjill had her results with the niacin that produces flushes.

Yeah, but that still doesn't explain why it can't be the extended release niacin.

Maybe the extended release niacin would work the same way. If you try it, let us know if you have positive results. Extended release niacin doesn't usually cause a flush.

The flush may be key here, as it gets rid of waste products.

When you get the niacin "flush", it's an indication that the niacin is causing small blood vessels in your body to be expanded in size. Many of your small blood vessels, called "capilaries" are so small that blood cells can only go through them in single file. Sometimes, in fact, that small capilary passageway is clogged and blood doesn't get through at all.
The niacin flush causes these small capilaries to expand - so they might be able to carry 2 or 3 blood cells at the same time. This is a tremendous increase in blood flow.
You experience this as a "flushing" of the skin, simply because there is more blood close to the surface of the body. As the blood flows in these areas, the cells of the small capilaries will also be getting rid of their waste products, and often they produce 'histamine' as part of this process. That histamine is another natural substance produced by every cell in the body when a cell is under attack, or is eliminating toxins. Histamine causes an 'itchy' feeling.

Ive tried the extended niacin and it does cause you to flush. It hasn't done anything for my skin though.
