KP-affected skin layers, TCA and Phenol
Hey people,
I just read a bit about skin layers. So there's the Epidermis, which is the outermost layer (In which the keratinization process occurs). and is also divided into 5 sub-layers:
Since KP affects mainly the epidermis, and is mainly a build-up of keratin onto the epidermis which blocks the hair follices, wouldn't an exfoliation process that would exfoliate the entire epidermis, our most of it, followed by a hair removal on the kp-sensitive skin areas, would get rid of KP, or at least of the bumps and the main red dots? (or would only require a daily gentle-exfoliating maintenance with some low-percentage acid-based lotion, or dermabrasion to maintain the healthy state of the "new" skin?) Anyways, there is the way of starting a physical exfoliation with micro-dermabrasion which takes months, but I think that a one-time, intense,professionally-done mechanical exfoliation done by a doctor/cosmetician, will do the job What do you think? Oh, and what about TCA?Phenol? has anyone tried peeling the skin with these substances? Here in Israel, there are deep skin peels done by a doctor that are so deep, that the entire epidermis layer is basically peeled of your goddamn skin! what do you think?
