I just recently started using the Eucerin Repair lotion with 10% urea and lactate and it makes my skin burn/sting is this caused from the aha in it?

I also stuff is getting dislodges from my skin which is making my skin look worse than it was before. I only have kp on my butt and legs and it was flat dots but now it looks like stuff is raising out of those spots....(do i make sense right now)

So i dont know if its working or not and scared that i am making the kp worse and irritated PLUS im going on vacation in JUne so it better not be getting worse

Others here have posted that when a product started to help their KP, plugs were pushed out of the pores. Maybe that is what you are experiencing. The 10% acid is most likely what is making your skin sting. Perhaps it is too strong. Maybe you shouldn't use it every day. Use plenty of non-acid moisturizer and stay out of the sun when you use acids. I haven't used acids, so can't speak from experience. If anyone else can share their experience with KPP, please respond.

I Use Eucerin Repair Almost Daily. I Do Get Some Stinging If I Use It On Freshly Shaven Legs. I Also Dont Have Kp Bumps (only Red Dots Everywhere) So That Could Be Why I Dont Have Problems From Eucerin. Overall I Think It Is A Good Product.

I use Eucerin on my face and I sometimes get the burning feeling, especially after washing my face or being really rough with my skin. I've got small red bumps on my face so I guess that's it. I don't use it on my legs (where the rougher bumps are) so I don't know how it would affect that...

Kebod its 10% urea not 10% acid , not sure what the percentage of the acid in Eucerin is.

As for the stuff thats raising out my skin is only on the sides of my butt. Gross i know. It looks like black dots. But its not happening on the rest of my legs which ust have the red dots.

Im using the lotion and not the creme we dont have the intensive plus range here. Its just called the repair lotion with 10% urea with lactate.

My Dots Seem To Be Lightening Up Some. I Start My Routine Right Out Of The Shower With A Cotton Ball Soaked In Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner. After That Dries I '' Massage '' Eucerin Repair Lotion On My Legs And Arms.
I Will Keep This Up Until I See More Progress.

Even urea, while not an acid (thank you for correcting me), can be damaging to the skin. Of course, the Eucerin product is meant for the skin, but perhaps your skin is more sensitive.

Update:

Well on first notice i thought that my skin was maybe drying out but i think its exfoliating. Cause all i have to do is run my hand up and down over those areas and the skin comes off almost like white dust. So i decided to body brush it off then jump into the shower then put the lotion on afterwards. Plus my ass is starting to look better after i rub it and that stuff comes off. As for my red dots im not sure!But my legs does look like there are less dots. Cant say for sure but it just looks a bit clearer.
