Re: HPU (or china doll disease or mauve factor): answer to KP?

Hi I was just trawling through some of the message sites as I have not been on here for a while and it sounds like I might have HPU too as I scored high on the questionnaire. My only query is how/where did you get the urine test done. I live in the UK and cannot find anyone who knows anything about it. Most of the sites related to HPU are foreign..any advice..?
Cheers and good luck witth your progress.

Moonsurfer,

I wish I could help you, but I don't know either. I did the urine test at a local health company, but I don't know in the UK where you can find one. Maybe if you think you have HPU, you could take a multi vitamin B complex and especially vitamin B6, but the active form, called Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (P-5-P). That's a good start and you could see what happens. Take it a couple of months (they advise 6 months, after that you should feel better), it can't hurt you. Maybe someone else in the UK has an idea??? Google "Pyrrolurie" (this is also a more international name, but it is written in Dutch, and I don't know the translation. Maybe something like "Pyrrolury"?) I don't know... I hope you will find something, some more information in English or so...

But if you have questions, I will be happy to answer them (if I know the answer :-))
