"Nair Pretty" hair removal creme decreasedTakeia's Box with Bumps
Hair Removal Creme
I used "Nair Pretty" hair removal creme and I noticed that the bumps on my legs decreased dramatically. The dark dots are still there but no bumps. It's feel good to rub your legs and not feel rough bumps all over your legs. I guess no bumps is a start. Now to the spots. ![]() Takeia's Box |

More from KjnJammin on AmLactin
Re: AmLactin XL Worked for me!
Yes, that picture is the AmLactin I use. John, I don't have before and after pictures unfortunately. I would say my KP was medium in severity. My legs have pretty much cleared up but for one or two bumps. My arms are proving to be more stubborn but continue to remain 80-90% free. I also exfoiliate ALOT and use coconut oil in the shower. So I am doing many different things that may be helping. I was already exfoiliating and using coconut oil before the AmLactin though and noticed a big difference when I introduced AmLactin into the regime. And finally, I have really attempted to stop picking at myself and that has also made a HUGE difference in appearance. ![]() I hope this helps out a bit with your questions. ![]() AmLactin XL Worked for me! |

Iceman Reduces Flushing 90% with Rosaliac and 5-HTP
What has worked well for me so far...
I have been using Rosaliac cream nightly, and then a regimen of 5-htp daily (100mg each night, 50mg in the morning, and 50mg at lunch time) This combination as kept flushing pretty much under control, and the 5-htp works wonders on the social anxiety. Less heat blushing, water related blushing, and alcohol flushing. I'd say a 90% improvement in flushing, and 50% in standard blushing. 30% improvement in overall redness. Next on my list is Lorac, a redness neutralizer, which I hear works wonders for Rosacea sufferers and people with rosy cheeks. Iceman What has worked well for me so far... |

Azelaic Acid helps Ausmartin by 90%
Try Azelaic Acid as a cream / gel.
It's working for me 90% better in 3 weeks face only. Just top of forehead left to treat overnight and acne cream during the day - a lot less now as less spot and lumps are forming and were going into winter here were I live. Ausmartin 3/6/08: Hopefully a Cure? |

No-carb, High Protein Diet Eliminates KP for Gere
Re: Any British KPers out there?
Hi, I'm 20 from Scotland, been lurking about the forum for a while , wanted to contribute some discoveries I have made in the past regarding KP. Before going on holiday last year I took up a special diet to get rid of fat, this basically meant cutting all carbs and increasing my protein intake . My KP was completely eliminated about 3-4 weeks at the end of this diet. It was extremely strict I cut out all wheat/dairy and gluten foodstuffs and also engaged in intense cardio(I'm not sure if this was a factor in helping) however I had eliminated 100% all redness and spots and hard bumps on my outer arms and upper legs. My KP previous to this was moderate to severe. Since then my KP has returned after returning to a varied diet. I have adopted essential fatty acids into my diet recently omega 3,6,9 pill and linseeds twice daily to see if it makes a difference. I plan to cut out dairy and wheat and sugar products to see if KP manifests itself due to a food sensitivity as it may well be a factor. Gere123 From: Any British KPers out there? |

Re: Thread Devoted to What Works For You
hi i know it probably seems odd but each time i use olay every day sunshine body moisturiser - my arms dont get any new red spots/bumps for about a week. it was by chance i noticed and now apply once a week and i can keep on top of it - i dont know why or how it works but it does- i initially moisturised with dove night moisture cream (large blue bottle) with honey - which i find great.-
most creams bring out my kp more - especially if greasy and sun creams are a no no - even after just five minutes you can literally see them coming up so it might be worth a try for those whose reactions are similar to mine ?? also i saw the above post and essential fatty acids can play a big prt in treating this condition - it was on the embarrasing illness programme last year - and said that taking essential faty acids would help to break don the keratin which seems to go with what kbod is saying xx hope i have been a bit of help x |

Re: Thread Devoted to What Works For You
Hi Keetah,
Yes, you have been a very big help. Thank you so much for posting your successful regimen. I encourage anyone to post here and tell us what is helping them if they have reduced their KP by 50% or more. Remember, what helps one person won't help everyone else. Maybe this is because KP might have different causes. We just have to keep on trying different remedies and methods until we find something that works. Hi Hanna, I hope you find something on this thread to try and that you find relief from KP. kebod |

Re: Thread Devoted to What Works For You
I've read these posts for quite a while but decided to register when I finally found something that is natural, great for sensitive skin and really works and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I had mentioned my skin to a friend (who wondered why I always wore long sleeved shirts and no shorts (even on the hottest days). It's called Shells and you can find it here: http://web.mac.com/shellsskincare/Soft_Skin/Welcome.html
I have been using this for about three weeks and I can't believe the difference already. Just hope this helps someone else. ![]() |

13-year old helped by Milk Products
My son's KP is going.
I have just joined his group. My 13 year old son had quite severe KP on his upper arms. It is really going. We are so happy. One arm is almost completely clear and the other has just a small section left. We have been using milk products to exfoliate and moisturise, and a mixture of ACV, water and Tea Tree oil is applied after showering, before moisturising. He also drinks warm ACV, with honey and ginger. We all drink this. It's yummy. Milk products are from here if anyone is interested: HOME Sigzephyr To read entire thread: My son's KP is going. |

Sea Buckthorn helped Anna1850 by 60-70%
Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide

I wouldn't mind using the drink if I knew it would get rid of it quickly but you really need to do this for months to see good results. It's been I guess 9-10 weeks now and I would estimate mine is 60-70% better. It's hard to be exact but I'd say mine's gone from moderate-severe to mild-moderate. I wouldn't quite say mine is truly mild yet but it's getting there. So this is why I use the (sea buckthorn) capsules and the soap because I know if it was someting that I didn't like using then I'd not stick with it. What I'm doing now, I'd be happy doing for the rest of my life if it gets rid of it. Anna1850 From: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide |
