I think I found the cure
Alright, so I just made this account for the purpose of posting this. I have visited this site numerous times but never became a member. I've been plagued with this condition since I was 12. Its all up my arms and a little bit on my inner forearms. I've tried everything and have been told by numerous doctors that "it'll get better as you get older." Well, I'm 18 and that never happened. So after scrubbing my arms raw with pumice, applying retin-a and just about any other cream you could think of...I had had enough. Do not waste your time or money on these bandage solutions. I've spent thousands trying to clear it up with nothing to show. So, I had heard that laser hair removal might help the disorder. Well, what the I had thrown away so much money on it already why not spend a little more right? But every time I recieved the same answer "Your hair is too fine and light for the lasers to pick up." They wouldnt guarantee the work; and for $2000 I wanted to make sure the hair is gone completely. So I checked out a company called "American Laser Centers" and they have a two year written guarantee; which put my mind at ease. They saaid they could treat any type of hair; just as long as it wasnt gray. Though I have heard some bad things about them recently, so check out your local one just to be sure. Anyways, I purchased a product called Meladine. I applied this religiously two weeks before my laser appointment. It pigments your hair making it easier for the laser to locate. So a few days after the first treatment, I was really bummed and it seemed like it had actually gotten worse. Then 3 weeks went by and wow, it improved by about 20%. Then I went in for my second treatment, not as great results. But I'd say its about 30% less as of now with just 2 treatments. I still have 4 more treatments to go. I know that this is the end of my nightmare. You dont have to live with this, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Best wishes- Danielle
