Glycolic / Lactic acids peel
Hi,
I read about that both the glycolic and lactic acids peel are good for KP. Does anyone know which one is better. Please advise. Thanks |

I've tried many products with glycolic acid, but not the peel. I read up on different peels before peeling and of the two, lactic acid is supposedly more gentle and moisturizing; hence, a better option for sensitive skin. I've still got plenty of the lactic acid peel remaining, but when I run out I may try the glycolic acid peel just to see the difference.
To answer your question, I'd say guess it's whatever you feel would work better for you, and how tolerant your skin is. If you feel your skin can take some serious exfoliation, glycolic acid would prob be the way to go. It all depends on the strength. Lactic acid peels exfoliates my skin gently (no ugly peeling either!) I get my peels from makeupartistschoice.com Googled peels and these should have some info... http://www.theraderm.net/chemical_peels.php/lactic.asp http://www.doctorsecret.com |

Peels
Thanks for the info and web site Nala.
I did try the glycolic peel about a year ago but in a doctor's office. Never did it on my own. I need something that will fade the marks. It seems that the lactic peel fades away the marks but the glyolic peel is good for the bumbs. SHeeba |
