finally - something that may work

i have had kp for over 15 years. i had eczema when i was growing up, and after that got under control, the kp appeared. i am chinese, so the little red dots look like medium brown freckles, that are bumpy.

i have tried many things - including glytone, prescription ointments, dietary supplements. i gave up for a while, just resigning myself to my little brown freckles which i have all over my lower legs, the tops of my thighs and up and down my arms, as well as a sprinkling on the back of my neck and top of my back.

just this week i decided to try to tackle the kp again, and i think i have finally found something that might be working.

1. drink lots of water - i did it mainly because my skin on my face was super dry from the heating in my apt and the ac in the office - but it's good for so many reasons

2. i discovered the most amazing soap. it is called the salt glow soap. my husband actually put me onto this soap. it is a huge glycerin bar with chunks of sea salt. i use it with exfoliating mitts every day - my skin has never fet softer. as far as i know, the only place to buy it is directly from the soap maker at eharcourts.com. (i promise i am not affiliated with her) it's about $7 and lasts for a while - we've had a new bar in the shower for 2 weeks now - and it will probably last us another 2.

3. amlactin - the lotion is amazing. like i said, i had tried glytone before - that just burned. i started using amlactin last night - i had a shower, i put the amlactin on my body and my face - and i did that again this morning. i can tell you that my lower arms have noticeably less red dots, the upper arms have the more stubborn brown ones, but overall - my skin feels amazing. i never had kp on my face, but using amlactin is the best discovery - i was a bit wary at first, but my makeup is not flaking off.

i think that because i work in an office - with the drying ac on all the time - i might need to apply amlactin again on my arms during the day. luckily, as it is winter right now, wearing tights means that my legs don't dry out as much.

i have read that people who have used amlactin see amazing changes in the first week.

honestly, i had really given up thinking that i was destined to have the brown bumpy dots all over me forever. i am glad i picked up something new am trying again to manage the kp.

i will keep you all posted!!!!!!
