Cool Sea Buck. Cure = Holes in Skin

Hi I am new to this site and I have to say that it is nice to know that there are others out there who know how I feel.

I have had a severe case of KP since I was born and I have even been used by the hospital for trials as mine was the wost case they had ever seen..you could not put a pin on my body without touching my KP and it was ruby red bumps and my skin is lily white so you can imagine how stressful it has been.

So I was overjoyed when I found something that eliminated it once and for all....I am talking about Sea Buckthorn...wonderful stuff!

For some reason after a while of using the weleda body oil, juice, dr haushka shampoo my skin reacted quite badly then all of a sudden it cleared up and I started getting clear patches of skin showing through and the redness got better and after a while it faded and now I have clear smooth skin.

I still use the sea buckthorn products as I don't want it to come back and I am very very pleased...the only problem I have is that the KP has left me with small dents/holes in parts of my skin and looks a little odd ..I just wondered if anyone has had this problem and if there was anything I could do to solve it or cover it up.

When I was in the Sea B. treatment phase I would get these small black dots at first then they got bigger and in the end when I was rubbing my skin with the oil (I alternated from using weleda body oil..to virgin coconut oil every other day) i would get dark greeny black coloured pips (it may sound crazy but they did look like very very small insects! So gross.. How could all of this **** come out of my skin? Anyway it worked and I feel healthier in myself as well.

I hope you all have success with your KP and I liked putting organic natural stuff on my body~ fairly cheap too...

It did take a while...about 4 months in total..if only I had known before..

Good Luck!

Re: Sea Buck. Cure = Holes in Skin

Hi Moonsurfer,

It is good to know that another demodex story has helped clear up your KP! But I have a couple questions:
1. Did you get itchy, when did it start and when did it stop? Were there particular periods of itchiness, like after you drunk the Weldeda SBjuice, or in the evening,...?
2. How much did you drink the SBjuice (ml)? How many times a day? How long lasted a bottle of Weleda juice?

Thanks for answering, because I'm trying the SB too, and I noticed that I get itchy too, so maybe this is the answer for me...

Re: Sea Buck. Cure = Holes in Skin

I was itchy at night and especially my head and legs! My legs would also go really really hot. I diluted the juice (1 tablespoon) in a cup of water 2 a day and I also used the capsules. On a daily basis I used shower cream and soap..followed by body oil and sometimes lotion as well..with drops of tea tree or eucalyptus essential oil and swapped it with coconut oil every other day.

I swam 6 days a week and showered after so am not sure if chlorine has anything to do with it but it soon cleared up for me...good luck!

Re: Sea Buck. Cure = Holes in Skin

Hi there,

Moonsurfer, could you please write down all the products you used? I apologize if you already have, I haven't quite managed to look around the new threads since my last visit.

Thanks!

Hi moonsurfer - A couple years ago I tried neutrogena's Pore Refining Cream on my face. Basically it's a Retinol and AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) moisturizer. I found it too strong for my face - I can use a bit of salicylic or glycolic but not too strong. Neutrogena Pore Refining® Cream SPF 15
It did seem to improve the look of my facial pores.

I am having similar experience to yours with my pores on my legs. My KP has been clearing up greatly over the last 8 months but my calves are taking a loooong time - and the pores that are left behind when some of the pips come out, you never saw such pores! (well, maybe you have). I think that AHA application may be the thing to reducing those pores over time. I thought about your question for a couple of days and I thought of chemical peels which are supposed to change the look of skin surface but the at-home version of that is AHAs. Be super careful and don't get sun exposure if you start using the AHAs though, please! I don't know if the AHAs would have to be kept up permanently or not. You might ask Aynas on these boards (try PMiing her?) as she has experience with using strong AHAs.

Hi Moonsurfer,

I have trying the sea buckthorn soap and I was wondering if you HAVE to use it on your face. I have been using it on my face and it seems to make it really oily and gross. I guess i dont mind it if my KP goes away but i was wondering if you used it on your face.
