Yet another "treatment" (snail lube lol)

I was searching online for what causes hyperkeratosis, but in the process I came across a page touting snail lubricant as a possible treatment option for KP. As funny as it sounds, anything's worth a try. Anyways, here's the link if you want to check it out. I suggest that if you've already got a regimen, stick to it for at least 3 months before trying anything new. You can't know if something works unless you give it plenty of time.

Keratosis Pilaris Treatment - Relief from Goose Bumps

Oh and I got a joke here too. Let's hope this treatment isn't as slow as a snail! Okay maybe not so funny but I tried.

By the way, I don't know if anyone's seen this, but I found it a couple weeks ago,

Re: Yet another "treatment" (snail lube lol)

well, this sounds like me, "The keratin blockage hinders the hair from actually making it out of the follicle, causing more painful inflammations. Scratching at the itchy skin can cause bleeding and scarring." totally

BUT that ehealthcarenews is a payola site. I'm quite sure of it. All their links are either to ehealthcare news, or to the site where you buy the stuff, there are no citations to anything resembling research or medical commentary, and there is no information about who "ehealthcare news" is or where the article really came from. so i can tell you with a fairly high certainty that it is either created by the folks selling the snail stuff - which may work or not - or by people to whom the snail-enzymes people pay money to to broadcast their "article".
so, you know, keep that in mind. - bd

I feel the same way. The fact that they don't provide any verification for their claims with a reference section.

They say that it helps prevent acne and dry skin too. I really want to try it, mainly because they make it sound like it's magical. I wonder if they offer a money back guarantee?
