That's the moisturiser recommended to me by my dermatologist but it didn't seem to greatly help. It made my skin softer but I can't say it had a great impact. She said it was the lotion with the highest % of urea sold in Ireland but better ones could be gotten abroad.

That particular lotion I've never used though. Has it worked for you at all?

I tried a Eucerin skin cream years ago, and it made me so sticky, that I gave up on trying to control my Kp all together. Have they improved it? It's great to see a major manufacurer take on this disorder!

i used this and it made my kp bumps really red and angry. i even gave it a second chance but it still made it worse.

I used this. It cleared up my dry, dry skin but did zilch for my KP. It's expensive, about $9/bottle, and a bottle only lasts a week to ten days.

Here was my experience with Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Cream:
I was excited to try it since they make it specifically for k.p. I went through one tube quickly because my k.p. is almost all over. I hated using it, it was a chore I dreaded every day. It is so thick and sticky that you have to knead your skin like a dang masseuse to rub it in. Then I walked around a sticky mess afraid to touch anything for a while. (It did not help that it was a very hot July when I tried it.) I thought if I were patient, the payoff would be worth it. After a week or so, I started noticing more bumps, bumps in places that had been smooth, and wondered if this was normal and in some weird way meant it was working.

By the end of about week three I gave up. I called the company to ask about my results, and the lady said it was strange not to see any results at all yet, but for stubborn cases it can take up to six months to clear up! So I thought "Six months of this? No thanks!" When I called back and asked for a refund, they sent me a pre-paid mailer to return it, and when I did they sent a refund check (and the tube was empty).

End of story. Lots of people seem to like this stuff, but it was just not for me.

I have been using that product for a few months now. My arms are slightly smoother (I have a pretty bad case of kp so I think it will take more than that to treat it). Its done nothing for the redness but moisturizes very well.
I agree that its a sticky mess when applying it - it has mineral oil in it so it just stays unabsorbed on top of the skin no matter how hard to rub it in. I usually just end up dabbing my arms with a washcloth to get the excess off.

I don't think it absorbs well because it's so greasy. I dont' know what to do!!! : / Summer is coming, it's going to be hell. I am going to buy some exfoliant & regular moitsurizer and use it constantly for 60 days. Because I hate these bumps!!! I'd rather have ACNE. Atleast there's a cure for that.

Ya'll do know they make Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy Plus Intensive Repair Lotion too, right?

newday, i completely sympathise for you. Eucerin made my kp worse as well and so many people like it and i cant believe it, it smells bad its sticky and doesnt absorb and all the ingredients are fake.

I can't stand anything that makes your clothes stick to you! I think the Eucerin lotion I tried years ago make me feel worse than the skin disorder did! It didn't seem to work for me at all, but I didn't give it much of a chance! If I remember correctly it was the Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Cream that I tried, which I purchased at the pharmacy. That was the first time I really tried to control KP at least five years ago. I gave up until now, and it does seem there has been progress for many of you! I think I will try Glytone stuff for a while, but I doubt the redness will ever go away! I guess I have around 39 years of dry skin on my legs! I wish you all the best of luck! I would hate to give anyone a false sense of hope with an expensive money pit, that doesn't work!

They may have changed the formulas since I last tried the Eucerin products!

The lotion doesn't give the same results. i've tried both. The Cream is the only thing that lessens the KP.. but I go through the bottle too quickly, and it smells like glue.
