Aloe Vera Cure

A few weeks ago I decided to rub aloe vera on my thighs where most of my keratosis is located. I did this after the shower then reapplied another coat after the first had soaked in. Instantly, the usual after-shower irritation had nearly vanished. I applied about 3 coats all together that night and have continued to do that every day for about 10 days. i have seen major improvements and what better cure than aloe vera, being that it is very reasonably priced. I also took the advice from this board and tried the eucalyptus spearmint lotion from BBW. Although I have only been doing this for a couple of days, i have seen further improvement. It could be a combination of the aloe and the lotion...who knows. Also i have started to ex foliate every day when i shower which seems to be good for the skin. All and all, im very impressed with the results and I think it is worth a try! btw...Its good for the bumps and the redness! I will check back if/when the keratosis (hopefully) vanishes from my legs!!

Re: Aloe Vera Cure

Sandra,

Also, what better cure because it is natural without harmful side-effects to your skin.

Aloe, used as an ingredient in many lotions and other body products, is under-appreciated for its potent healing properties. Fresh aloe is many times more potent than the processed aloe used as an ingredient in lotions. This is one plant that everyone should have as a potted plant year 'round.

I use it on my face and the backs of my hands to keep the skin youthful looking. I have a large plant, and everyday I cut one slice, about 1/2" thick, off of a spear. The cut spear immediately dries and seals the cut, so that stalk remains live and healthy on the plant. I cut the slice open, and rub the gel on my skin, and use it on any burns, sores or open cuts for quick healing.

I read a very informative article written by a doctor, whose research showed that it also has a very beneficial effect on the immune system. For those of us fighting candida, demodex parasites, and other nasties, a strong immune system can make all the difference. Here is the article:

We drink it blended with juice for intestinal health. Here is how to prepare fresh aloe for drinks:

Thank you for sharing your aloe experience with us.
