Woolz,

I hope you aren't feeling discouraged. Most treatments will take much longer than 4 days to see improvement.

It took me about 4 days before my skin got worse (which I think was unusually quick) and a month before I could see improvement.

I wouldn't mind using the drink if I knew it would get rid of it quickly but you really need to do this for months to see good results. It's been I guess 9-10 weeks now and I would estimate mine is 60-70% better. It's hard to be exact but I'd say mine's gone from moderate-severe to mild-moderate. I wouldn't quite say mine is truly mild yet but it's getting there.

So this is why I use the capsules and the soap because I know if it was someting that I didn't like using then I'd not stick with it. What I'm doing now, I'd be happy doing for the rest of my life if it gets rid of it.

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide

I cant seem to find any shop/ebay seller/anything that ships the "Aubrey Organics Sea Buckthorn Lotion" to Sweden. Does anybody know if the Weleda SBT lotion works?

Oh, and about the coconut oil.. I read that some found it to be helpful in preventing huge flare-ups. When do you apply it?
After the SBT lotion?

Any help would be appreciated!

I found this site (Aubrey Organics Sea Buckthorn with Ester-C® Nourishing Hand & Body Lotion for Dr) that sells it and shipping to Sweden is 10 Euros. I think the Weleda one would work too though probably, although I haven't tried either of them.

I only use coconut oil after I shower/take a bath, it helps keep the moisture in because oil and water don't mix so the water stays on your skin. I don't know if it's stopped flare-ups for me but it's a nice moisturiser although the oily feeling is slightly strange.

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide

Well, I have been drinking the seabuck 7 juice for about a month (4-6 TBsp/day), have been using the SBT soap for a few months and have not noticed any significant improvement. I was really hoping the drink would make a whole lot of difference, but in my case, it didn't. The lotion did seem to improve my arms, but I think it was only an illusion, because as soon as I washed them, they looked pretty much the same as before I started using the lotion. Also, I didn't break out at all during the treatment.

It may have worked for sirduckles, because of her diet or other factors... but I guess this treatment doesn't work for everyone.

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide

so i've been doing sea buckthorn soap, lotion and drink for about a week and a half now, and the only difference i have noticed is that i have had a couple of large pimple like things on my arms in the midst of the worst of my kp, and also a small itchy patch of little tiny red bumps around one hip/bikini line area. does this sound at all like a reaction that might come from the mites, or is it not serious enough? has anyone had results from the sea buckthorn treatment WITHOUT having a bad reaction at any point?

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide

I've been using the SBT soap from Aubrey Organics for two weeks now, and I'm definitely in the flair up part of the process. My KP has spread down my legs, and where I had it before has gotten worse. On the plus side, while the dots persist, I combination of SBT and exfoliation has made my skin much less bumpy. I'm also using coconut oil as a moisturizer. I really hope this actually helps.

For those that use the capsules, do you use the seed oil or the fruit oil?

The oil in the ones I take are "from seeds and soft parts (manufactured by gentle CO2 extraction)"

I'm not entirely sure what they mean by "soft parts" though.

Definitely. That's a very good sign. Don't forget it still might take another month or so before it actually looks better though. You have to be patient but for me it's been worth it.

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide

Sir Duckles, thank you so so much for posting this. I was rather discouraged about my KP before this came along. However, I have one question reguarding the use of Glytone ( Glytone Keratosis Pilaris Kit at DermStore ) with the SB treatment. From my knowledge, Glytone is an exfoliator. Does anyone think it will be okay to combine the use of Glytone and the SB treatment?

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide

I've ordered all of the products now but I dont think Ill start the regime until i get back from my vacation (A severe break-out would definitely ruin that trip).

I just have one question. Should I lay off my usual facial cleansing/moisturizing regime and replace it with the SBT soap and lotion during the treatment?
Or is the SBT lotion too strong/greasy to use on the face?
