well i started my kp treatment 2 weeks ago. using soap and glory Boots.com - Shop -- Indulgent bodycare which i use twice a day in the shower, then put on garnier body cocoon moiture lotion on my arms.
arms SEEM to be a bit better and more smooth but stil a few white spots and quite red so ive decided to order some sea blackthorn juice and im going to give that a try along side what im doing already.

oh i also take omega 3,6,9 daily tablets.

i dont think i have ever tasted something so foul in my life as this. the juice is terrible!!!! how do people drink it?

the after taste is very awful, it honestly tastes like im drinking sick. first i put a tablespoon in a cup of tea, and i couldnt drink it. so i ended up just drinking a tablespoon as a shot. stil tasted awful but it was down quicker.. it says to do this 2-3 times a day on the box!!!!!! jeeeeeees

Woolz, you're in the UK right?

I'm taking these capsules instead of the drink (Omega 7 Sea Buckthorn Oil Capsules from HollandandBarrett.com (UK)) as I wanted something internal but I'd heard the drink tasted bad and I knew I wouldn't stick to it if it didn't taste good. But I think the capsules are working so you might want to try them instead if it tastes that bad.

Although, I think it could work only with soap and external stuff but I think maybe the drink and/or capsules will speed it up.

Have you tried diluting the juice in lots of sugary water/whatever your favourite drink is? Although, then it would take longer to drink...

well i love a cup of tea, and i put 4 sugars in it haha!! stil tasted wrong. but yeh i am from the UK, i will look at the holland and barret capsuals- thanks. ive paid 11 pounds for this bloody drink now!!!!

the sea buckthorn capsuals have a lot of omega 3 6 and 9 im them. i already take omega 3/6/9 capsuals made by tesco. would i have to stop taking these? i would have guesed so.

I'm not sure about the Omega pills, is it possible to take too many?

Just to mention the price of the tablets, they cost about £13 per pack and contain 60 capsules but for the first 2 months you need 4 a day so each pack will only last 2 weeks, but after 2 months you have to cut down to 2 a day so you just need a pack a month. It's a bit pricey to begin with but I would have thought the drink would be more expensive as it won't last as long.

They have the capsules in both the Holland and Barrett shops I go to so I would assume they have them in all their shops. If you can't find them ask the assistant for 'Omega 7 sea buckthorn capsules' and they'll know.

thats it i cant take it anymore, im not drinking that stuff, just tried another spoon of it. i honestly dont think it should taste like this. it smels and tastes like vomit - real vomit. you know when you get a sick burp now and again, thats what taste is it.

I have started using Renew from Australia on my body and my daughters faces. It is helping so much. In addition we started using the sea buckthorn soap after I read this. I am so itchy!! Our skin is improving though. I also washed almost everything in the house with borax. I hear that kills the mites too. I even washed the dog with borax.

I've just noticed something. I had a patch of itchy dry skin in the middle of my back (near where my bra hooks are). I thought it might be eczema as it runs in the family and my sister has it really badly. But it hasn't been itchy for a month I think. It's hard to tell if it's anything to do with the SB as it was only itchy on and off. I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else had noticed anything similar.

I never have used SB, and I recently developed a new patch of eczema right under my bra strap hooks. I have switched to my bikini bras, because they have plastic fasteners and I'm applying Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy to the spot. I had stopped using Eucerin when I switched to a coconut oil based lotion, and my eczema wasn't a problem anymore. But the coconut oil doesn't help with eczema the way the Eucerin does.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I meant I've had the itchy patch for 2-3 years but recently (after starting the SB treatment) it hasn't been itchy or dry. I was wondering if the SB had an effect and made it better. Maybe I could have got rid of it (hopefully)...

ok, what IS it about this time of year? I have a not-too-itchy patch of on my back close to my waist on one side. I was thinking of putting the SBO on it since I have that conveniently at hand.

Woolz - I don't know which drink you're taking. when i have had "seabuck 7" I preferred it watered down a bit with some lemon on lots of ice. some people just prefer to hold their nose, chug it and get it over with
Also, SBO is quite high in vitamin E which if there's too much in your system can increase the risk of bleeding to death (your blood doesn't coagulate as fast.) I don't know about other compounds but I can only take 2 small capsules a day. about 200 mgs each I think. It does give me improved skin tone, and such but I don't use soap and don't always us it topically. It is not a complete cure for me but I definitely like it. I can imagine that it has been very good for some people's KP.

i have to disagree on a few things. people say taning helps but in fact it hurts ur kp. tanning seems to work cause ur skin is darker and harder to see the redness from the bumps. but what tanning really does is make more dead skin it dries ur skin out and actually makes even more dead skin cells. far as the mites go. u say u have oily skin i thought most people with kp have very dry skin. maybe the oily skin attracts the mites? sulphur soap and charcoal soap will deep clean deep into the skin as it says it prevents bumps. so what im asking is what is in this sea buckthorn stuff that actually kills mites? if this is true there has to be other products and things that can kill the mites too. wonder if they make a detox mite shampoo like they do with crabs and lice? but im glad it worked for you as the proof is in ur pics but im not sure it worked because u have mites , it might of just worked on ur kp which is why im interested in what ingredients are in this stuff . post if u can cause im gonna check into other things for mite killing that u dont just have to order online. thanks
