Hooray, my soap came today. I am surprised it came so soon after ordering it. How perfect that it came on the last day of school so I can break out and not have to be seen in public
![]() (I checked the health stores in my area and they has no Sea Buckthorn stuff at all. At least the Feelgreat site worked out for me) |

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide
I've seen horrible reviews here of the Dr. Hauschka shampoo, but honestly it sounds like something I'd love. I've been practicing more natural haircare methods for a few years now and tend to avoid Sodium Anything Sulfate since it makes me itch like crazy and makes my hair a bit too squeaky clean. I only wash it every 5 days or so anyway...
So if anyone tried the Dr. Hauschka shampoo and wants to get rid of it, I'm your buyer Throwing it away would just be silly. |

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide
Hi all. I just found this site and I'm so grateful to all you brave souls who tried this without the benefit of reading others' experiences. Anyway, I started my treatment about 3 days ago. I've been using soap/body wash, oil, shampoo, and capsules. I have to say I do not hate the Dr. Hauschka shampoo, but I don't love it either. Unfortunately, as a student, I'm not made of money either - so the more expensive Blue Sage and Face Doctor options are out. Today I stumbled upon a shampoo made by Aveda that contains SBT. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this. At $12 a bottle, it might be worth a shot...or it might make a good alternating option for those off days. I'm sure it has more chemicals in it than would be ideal, but for now - with my $$ level, it might have to do. Has anyone tried it? Here is the link:
Aveda - products that nurture. hair care. shampoo. scalp benefits(tm) balancing shampoo Thanks! |

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide
an update on my progress:
I've been using the drink for 3-4 days now and my keratosis is about 50% clear. It was moderate to severe when i started, but now i'd say it's a mild case. I was just using the lotion and soap. they got me into the "way worse" phase, but when i started the drink i entered the "cure" phase. all i take is one shot (about one oz. i think) in the morning, after breakfast. |

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide
Tonight I'm really pleased because I realised that after 5 weeks or so, although I still have quite a lot of bumps, none them are pickable. I've had such an addiction to it even though I knew it wasn't good for me and I knew the only way for me to stop was to get rid of the KP. I still have some red bits from the ones I've messed with a week or 2 ago and there's lots of teeny tiny bumps but I'm certain it's working.
So not strappy top worthy yet but I'm hopeful for the summer ![]() |

Re: The Sea Buckthorn Treatment Guide
It seems that you are onto something great here with the Seabuckthorn, I have tried to copy your regiment but in NZ we have limited access to products. I'm drinking the pure juice daily & also using the Weleda seabuckthorn moisturising cream at the moment on my legs & my arms & my skin really do seem to be clearing up. (Previously it has only cleared up with extra virgin coconut oil & sun tanning). But since I've been using this I've now got a rash of what seems like red itchy bites at the top of my thighs near my bikini line & inner leg area - sounds & looks horrible, absolutely no chance it can be a STD & strange to be bitten by a mossie here of all places. I am now extending the cream to this area also & hopefully that will clear it up. Could it be the mites emmigrating to a new area? Eeewww. I noticed that oh so lovely mentioned a break out of her pubic area but I wasn't sure if that was from laser or seabuckthorn. Has anyone else experienced this symptom or have any advice for me? I have ordered the seabuckthorn oil (the only other product available to buy in NZ) and I intend to add this to my plain liquid soap & shampoo so that I can get an all over body treatment. The oil is another Weleda product & it is mixed in with sesame oil, so hopefully that doesn't affect it. Also has anyone tried adding the oil into another product? Thank you :-)

I read from a French thread that mixing a few drops of pure sea buckthorn oil with the aloe vera gel had great effects on the skin. Indeed, the concentration of pure sea buckthorn oil in Weleda products is unknown, whereas you're sure how many drops you'll have mixed with the aloe vera gel, which is wonderful to moisturizes the skin, as well as to apply the oil evenly on your skin, without staining your clothes (because it is known that the sea buckthorn oil stains easily) Moreover, aloe vera is advised in cases of skin diseases such as eczema and psoriasis : so why not keratosis pilaris ? I'll keep you posted. |
