hello everybody I'm very upset....the world is falling apart ....what's happening to our honey bees? wear are they all going? they are dying off there not flying back to their hives.....does everyone realize that we need bees to pollinate most of our crops. If we don't have bees we wont have store bought tomatoes, watermelons, cucumbers fruits the list goes on and on, will only have a few crops available, only crops that are wind pollinated, such as corn and wheat. Bees are disappearing all over the world and the scientist don't know why this is happening. The scientist think its a variety of reasons including viruses, pesticides, cell phones. I don't know if pollution is a suggested reason but pollution would be my guess especially since I've been reading senator byron Dorgan's book "take this job and ship it" senator dorgan talks about how big business has bought and sold most politicians and how basically the president, this administration a lot of the senate exedra are just puppets being controlled by big business and special interest groups....the point of all this is...is that these evil corporations influence or laws they even wright there own legislation. What there getting away with is tragic. because of evil big business america's greatest export is american jobs but not our regulations or pollution standards. so now businesses are encouraged to move american factories over seas. if they move over seas to another country and ship products back to the US they don't have to pay taxes at all {there's loopholes] and on top of that they can have all the child labor they wont. these factories pay these employees almost nothing way, way, way below a living wage. and on top of that gem these factories don't have to abide by pollution regulations. So these american factory's that move to another country can now dump all there pollution out into the environment.and that effects everyone everywhere in this world. I'm going to quote from senator byron Dorgan's book
"A report released in july 2005 by environmental working group found an average of over two hundred industrial compounds, pollutants, and other chemicals in the umbilical cord blood of newborns, including seven dangerous pesticides- some banned in the United Statesmore than thirty years ago. Scientist point out that the presence of pesticides in the blood of babies is because it takes many decades for some of the components to break down and also some of them are used in foreign countries witch export produce to the united states."pg. 183 quote from senator byron Dorgan's book "For residents of manila in the philippines, the good news in the summer of 2005 was that malaria would would not be a problem. The bad news? it was because malaria-bearing mosquitoes couldn't survive the air pollution in Manaria, a disease expert reported. How bad does the air have to be that it cannot support insects, I considered the fact that as jet streams and trade winds move air around the globe, at some point I, too, would be breathing in some of that poisoned air. In 2002, the los Angeles times reported: In one severe dust storm in spring 1998, particle pollution levels in oregon, washington and british columbia soared. In seattle, air quality officials could not identify a local source of the pollution, but measurements show that 75% of it came from china, researchers at the university of washington found. "A larger fraction of haze we see is asian, far more than we ever dreamed," said tom cahill, professor of atmospheric science and physics at UD davis. "were a small world." end quote pg.167 and these facts just go on and on. the hole point I'm trying to get to is that these companies and their products are responsible for tarring down the rain forests, polluting the worlds air , poisoning every one in the worlds fish and crops. and escalating global warming at break neck speed. something must be done, america must impose regulations on these factory's. we must hold them to our standards....and its so easy to do if congress would just just not allow these company's to imported their products into the US market, then these comanys would go out of business if they didnt meet pollution standards aswell as regualor standards like a living wage and the right to have unions..If america would just demand that this corruption be stoped, it simply would. We americans have to start voting the right way!!!!!!!!! and pay attention to what's going on here.....if you voted for bush in 2004you are definatly out of touch with reality...and you need to edgicate yourselfs....or edleast don't vote in the next election please.....your killing all of us literallyand your hurting your children beyond your wildest dreams!!! so in my opinion the bees are all dieing because of the pollution. And how does this tie in with Kp...maybe this pollution or steriods or pesticides or all of the above is giving us kp. maybe? do we even know when the first recorded case of kp was recognized? what if kp is just 3 or 4 generations old. if so i would say that kp is here because of pollution. |

Re: were'd the bees go?
well i think einstein's wrong there. i think most people would start to take up gardening and canning for there own familys needs. we could easly pollinate our own gardens. But that would be so crazy if we had to resort to that. What scares me the most is if there was a new ice age brought on by all this global warming, and what if it happenes in the next couple of years. i think there would be alot of panic and economic disaster...i think everybody would start flooding the equator...but who knows?

Global warming has already changed the climates of many places around the world - drought and famine in Africa are direct results of this, and the bleaching of coral reefs. If a new ice age comes about, it won't be for a very, VERY long time. That's not to say it's not an important issue. It is one that needs to be dealt with, but no need for panicking. |

Re: were'd the bees go?
Johne,
I think you have a good point in linking pollution and KP. One of the functions of the skin is to get rid of toxins. The main sources of toxins in our bodies are the food we eat, our water, the air we breathe, our body products, and medicines we take. Nothing is free of chemicals anymore and few of us have access to a 100% organic diet. Our skin pays the price. "Skin cleansing is essential for eliminating pesticides and other drugs and environmental chemicals. Approximately 10% of body elimination occurs through the skin, working in conjunction with other organs of elimination such as the colon, kidneys, and lungs." Re: were'd the bees go?
John, you and others interested in the issue of the U.S. now basically being a Corporate Republic may want to watch this documentary, The Corporation:
The Corporation (2003) While some of the information is disturbing, there is also very important uplifting commentary in it. You may also wish to check my blog for the link to the Nova short about epigenetics. I don't think we are in irreversible situations with our health and environment but proper value needs to be placed on those 2 things and they must enter the equations when big businesses are calculating their bottom lines. - bd |

Re: were'd the bees go?
hey guys, thanks for responding.
Zoyenka, i havent read to much about global warming yet, but to the best of my recolection, i recall seeing a program on global warming, and in this program a scientist said that if our global tempature were to be raised more than one degree [or maybe it was a couple degrees] that this change could bring on a new ice age, fast. I dont know the science behind this, something to do with current changes and ice caps not reflecting light out of the atmosphere. I dont know, im far from a scientist. bunnyday, i went to your link, but i couldnt find the video. all that i could see was advertisments....ill try again. kebod, what your talking about, skin cleansing seems interesting and is worth looking into..... and strangley enouph i just came across this web site about colon cleansing....this site talks about how important it is to cleanse your colon to get rid of all these toxins and pollution we intake everyday....this site talks about everything we've been talking about, ill quote from this web site Colon Cleansing, Constipation, IBS, Colonix, Cleanse, Detox – Online Resource ''What You Must Know About Body Pollution We are all exposed to thousands of toxins and chemicals on a daily basis at work, in the home, through the air we breathe, our food and water supply, and through the use of pharmaceutical drugs. In addition, we are eating more sugar and processed foods than ever before in human history and regularly abuse our bodies with various stimulants and sedatives. If you never wondered or cared much about the pollution around us, it's time to change your views and start paying attention to this problem. For decades, scientists have been studying the pollutants in our air, water, food, and soil. U.S. industries manufacture over 6 trillion pounds of 9,000 different chemicals a year. They dump billions of pounds of industrial chemicals into our air and water year after year. So now scientists have started to examine pollution levels in humans and their findings are deeply disturbing. Research clearly proves that our bodies are not capable of eliminating all the different toxins and chemicals we inhale and ingest every day. They simply accumulate in our cells (especially fat cells), tissues, blood, organs (such as the colon, liver and brain) and remain stored for an indefinite length of time causing all kinds of health problems. I can't show you a picture of what this pollution build-up looks like in the brain or the liver, but I can show you what it looks like in the colon. In fact, we've built an entire picture gallery of these photos." this site talks about How to beat constipation, IBS, bloating, stomach pain and SKIN PROBLEMS while gaining more energy and a flatter stomach at the same time.....well i dont know if what they say is all true, but they've convinced me that this is definately worth looking into.....i would recommend that every one check this site out and decide for themselfs. i have to worn you tho, that there are very discusting pictues on this web site .....so be prepared. |
