Essential oils that help with KP?

Does anyone know of any essential oils that help with KP? I'm wanting to make a moisturiser to help at least reduce the appearence of it. Form what I gather, coconut oil, vitamin E oil and Rosehip oil would make a good base, but I'm just wondering if there's anything slightly more potent
    Thanks

You could add Flaxseed or Fish oil and Vitamin A to your diet in a capsule form. That would help work from inside out. Some do put Sesame Oil on during a shower then rinse. Kim

You could try jojoba oil. It is pricey but supposed to be a good moisturiser and doesn't clog pores. My experience with it is limited, but I have added it to moisturisers and shampoos.

Is Flaxseed and Fish oil in actual liquid form or capsule?

It comes in a capsule, sold with vitamins at any drug store or Wal-mart. Kim

Re: Essential oils that help with KP?

Weleda has a really nice body oil that I recently started using after exfoliation. it absorbs really well on me, and I like the smell. It's made from Sesame oil and sea buckthorn oil (sea buckthorn oil is high in beta-carotenes & EFAs) and there's also lavender and citrus extract - the citrus might be exfoliating a bit too, there's also a natural aracide (sp?) that is supposed to help kill off demodex mites that some people think aggravates KP and at least can cause skin conditions. I'm not too worried about that but I do like sea buckthorn oil myself just in general. I also added sea buckthorn oil to a bottle of "massage oil" I had that was basically almond oil, jojoba oil and also had rosemary extract in it. That's a really good skin oil - I'll get the name when I'm back home again. I've found both lavender and rosemary to often be soothing overall. I use a mix of coconut oil with tea tree oil and sea buckthorn in it for when I get a really itchy patch. I'd recommend the tea tree oil only if you get the itchy KP tho. it has a rather medicinal smell that isn't pleasant to everyone. You can find info on any given essential oil either in wikipedia or on the web and you'll probably figure out a good mix. - bd
