immunodulators for redness?
I was wondering if anyone had tried any of the new immunodulators that are on the market now, like Protopic or Elidel. These meds are supposed to be used in place of topical steroids because they have fewer side effects. I know these meds are specifically targeted towards eczema and not KP, but since they are supposed to reduce inflammation, I thought they might work on the redness of KP. I can live with the bumps, just not the REDNESS.

I'm currently using elidel for kp. It has made an improvement on the texture of the bumps and some improvement on the redness. My dermatologist said the people have mixed outcomes....it's not working as well as i had hoped, but it is better then the retin-a alone

How long have you been using it? How long until you saw any results? Thanks.

My skin felt softer in about a week and it has helped with the redness, but not as much as i would like.

My son used elidel and it didn't seem to hep with the roughness or the redness. Maybe we didn't use it long enough - only about 1 week.
