Retin-A Cream Helps!
I have tried everything on earht for my KP, from lotions all the way to Accutane. Everything would help in the beginning, but after a month or two it would stop. I have KP the worst on my arms, but I also have a little on my legs, face, butt, and hips. Well my derm put me on Retin-A for my face and it cleared completely up in a month. There was no redness and my skin had never been so soft. So after seeing such great results she had my put Lac Hydrin Lotion on my arms twice a day, use a buff puff in the shower, and use Retin-A on my arms right before bed. The Retin-A has caused some peeling, from drying out the skin, but as soon as I buff puff the dead skin I can see and feel great results. My arms are so much smoother now. Ive only been using it for a month, but I am expecting great results. Now I just need to find a way to get rid of my scars.

I use retin-a cream on my face also and find it wonderful! It has helped soften the areas affected by UO and AV and has kept the odd bumps I still get around my eyebrows at bay.
Like any acid it has to be used carefully but if you can perservere with it, it certainly does help. |
