I would hate to pass this on to my child....did you guys pass it down? I'm wondering if there are preventive measures i could take..i kno people say "ooo its hereditary...you cant prevent..you cant cure it"..i think thats b/s since i had clear beautiful skin til i was 10..(then i blame my father for touching my skin with his dirty hands and forcing me to eat greasy foods...strange i kno..but i have my myths!)...
soo if any one has suggestions please share...i'm hoping my baby gets her daddy's skin so she doesnt have to suffer later

Hi, I just found this site today. I've had kp for over 30 years. My triplets are almost 2 and they all have the bumpiness on their arms and legs but not the redness yet. My mother said as a baby I did not have any bumps so I suppose this could be different but I will be checking wit the doctor at their 2 year appointment next month. I'd hate for them to go through the teasing and self conciousness I did growing up.

I got KP from my dad....and I can't really tell what his is like since he has so much hair covering his skin up.

My KP wouldn't be such an issue if my mom didn't bring it to my attnetion as a young teen and constantly want to pick it herself.....

So who knows if when I have kids what they're skin will be like.
