To daisy
Hello again,
your very welcome. you asked very good questions so here goes... when you find a N.D. who does this test, ask them if they know what leaky gut syndrome is.....if they don't go somewhere else. What you are actually treating is a digestive/enzyme problem in your gut, so they will need to know what LGS is. You probably have candida if you have LGS, it is just part of the overall problem, the N.D. should give you some yeast killers, and acidiphilus is the GOOD/friiendly bacteria to replace in your body, I was also prescribed some drops to help my liver detox while all this was going on. So they are not really treating your skin persay, they are treating your gut and yeast problem and your whole body heals of all sorts of ailments, especially the skin. Yes Daisy I had brown/pruple/red dots on my whole arms and legs and butt/chest and stomach......YUCK!!!!!!! I also had HUGE bumps all over, and ingrown hairs mainly on my upper and lower legs. That is why I said "worst case" and meant it. That is also why I want others to do this as I don't think many people are half as bad I was when I started, so healing should be faster? My bumps are gone, the ingrowns are gone, and the redness is gone on my body, except my arms are say 95% rednesss gone, and my legs are 90% redness gone. I still think over some more time that I will totally heal, as my case was SOOOOOOOOOO bad. i did mention earlier though that I did do home kit microdernmabrasion to get rid of old skin, which I had a lot to get rid off. So do whatever methods you want to get rid of your old skin, your body will do the rest of the work. Please take a few moments and look at SkinE link on a book by a doctor on psoriasis, who healed his patients through treating leaky gut syndrome as well. there is before and after pictures to look at, button is at top of page, these children healed their bodies entirley with their diet. That link is on post #269. Look at those pictures and tell me that doesn't give you hope. Last edited by baronster; 04-17-2007 at 12:09 AM.. |

Hi baronster vbmenu_register("postmenu_26770", true); :
I am from Perú, South America. I am 41 and I have been suffering KP all my life. Fortunately is not that severe as it was in your case. I think it´s mild. In my case the KP I had in my cheeks went away after I got my period, so as I´ve also read, hormones have an influence on KP. I wanted to tell you that I find your idea of spreading your story about KP very thoughtful and it´s a really a nice gesture of all the people in this forum that have done some research to share it with the rest. It´s amazing how problems and human suffering can unite people from all over the world and make them support each other. I want to thank you for the information. I have read the 21 pages of the forum today. It took time but was worth it. I will try to do all what I have read so far in the forum: Avoid dairy products, gluten, corn, sugar, tomato and inflamotory food in general, drink something to clean my liver and guts and try to eat more natural antibiotics. I don´t think we´ve got the vegatest in Peru but I will try to fallow all your advice. I use glicolic acid 12% and salicic acid 2% everyother day and as you said it helped but externally and the improvement was maybe just 60% but I will prefer to get more results internally and benifit from it in a long term, because it´s healthy and get rid of all the toxins sounds wonderful. Thanks to all for the information and specially to you baronstar. I don´t have daily access to internet but I will try to tell you about my progress in a week or so. Kala |

Second week of the vega test diet
I have just conducted my vega test a couple of weeks ago and I am on the second week of this sepcial diet. My sensitivities are corn, yeast, milk, nuts, and caffeine. How long will it take before I see visible results? I am vitamin drops and acidopholus for the next month. I have had KP since about age 10 and it is getting worse, especially since this winter. I want it to clear and hope you can answer some of my questions.
Thanks Quote:

Hey everybody, I have been having a hard time stayng clear of certain foods. I am sensitive to corn and to white and brown rice. And soy milk. So I am thinking of going on the Raw diet. I am a little frustrated with my results because I still feel skeptical about my results. And It is going to cost me more money to go to a naturopath as well. But, I want to. So I will. My motivation needs some pepping up!!
I was wondering if you could ask your doctor what kind of machine they used or who the manufacturer is. It seems all the testers around here are like two hour tests and I really want to go get restested. Remember the lady who did the test I just didnt feel quite comfortable with her method. My skin seems to be getting bumpier too. Easter weekend I had to start over because we went to my parents for the weekend and my mom has her famous rolls. And all the yummy desserts too. since I am sensitive to rice, does that mean I am also sensitive to rice milk?? On the test I was not sensitive to cows milk but to some cheeses and cows yogurt. I would think to just cut out dairy all together but it eliminates any milk whatsoever. Because of the rice sens. and the soy, and the cow. what other kinds of milk are there. i am kind of venting. Sorry if I am all over the place. I want to feel good about my skin and myself!!! I gotta love me and just trust that everything will work out. I cant give up! |

Kala...Thanks for the encouragement and support.....and for reading the entire thread......you basically got the idea behind what to do..let me know what results you get.
mbot....I can't really say for you how long to get results, as I don't know how strict you are with not eating those foods, but if you are pretty strict and take your supplements, you should start to see results in a couple of weeks....please be patient....it will pay off. cielo......I am so sorry about your experience at the acupucture clinic....I am with you on being re-tested......I know that sound like a pain and not what you wanted to hear.....did that doctor I e-mail you do the vega test( I will ask my doctors what machine they use, as peppers test was only 1/2 too, and did candida.) I think you and your husband need to be treated for LGS, so if your not and just avoiding foods, and ocassionally cheating you might be aggrivating your skin, which is showing up more bumpy. If you have the sweet tooth look into the lquid chromium as it very successful taking away cravings. I drink almond milk now which is made by the same company who makes the almonds that you buy. It doesn't taste like almonds, I promise, it won the best taste alternative to cows milk, and the chocolate is to die for a hot chocolate. Almonds are super beneficial to your health, so this milk is superior to others in my opinion, and tastes GREAT. So no I would not drink rice milk. If you are good about eating and treat your LGS, you shloud be able to clear many of your sensitivites in just 6 weeks. Please don't give up.....please remember this is just temporary fix for a permanent solution. |

Theres been no difference to my arms they seem slightly less red but no dramatic improvement but I have only just started so Im not expecting miracles straight away. |

Thanks for the replies.
Baronster: You know, I am also on my test results sensitive to almond. Weird huh? I will wait to find out what machine your doctor used. Thank you for the suggestion though. And no, those naturopaths do not offer the test. I actually had called them before you refferred them to me. In the beginning when I was looking for the test. Pepper7: Hey you know what I never thought of that. I will try coconut milk out. Its probably great for the skin too. What foods are really good sources for calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin A? I dont want to become more defficient which might worsen my skin. Thanks guys cielo |

Iv been told to take both A and D for calcium as well as calcium tablets. I think D is better for calcium and A is better for skin tough.
I have become addicted to rice cakes they are so yummy! |

Baronster: I love almonds. I wish that the test maybe could have given me a level of how sensitive I tested like yours did. Maybe one of these days I will take a vacation out the Vancouver.See your naturopath. I have always wanted t |
