Hi Ive been reading a lot about oil pulling, I have an oil I bought by mistake but never took back, at home its meant to be very good for you high in essential fats, omega fats etc, would this oil be ok to use or is there a specific oil that would be better also does it work with the redness which is my main problem? Thanks Baronster its good to be back and see how everyones doing.

Kebod......that is so good to know......I did the test this morning but I did the short version I posted above.....I will try the long version tommorrow and see if I get the same kind of results.

I tested my heart rate and is was 80 bpm.....I was out this morning.....I drank a 1/4 glass of soy milk, and tested a minute late.....my rate was 82bpm.....

about two hours later i drank 1/4 glass of 2% milk....my rate was 80bpm......a minute later it was 92 bpm.....

based on this short version your rate only need to go up 4 or more beats.

So I will keep testing foods and report them, as I am fortunate to know what I am senstive to.

Maybe someone else who has taking the test could try this method to verify?

Pepper7.....I am no op expert, but I keep reading that is works for mild KP bumps, and not for redness really. Sorry mate.. but speaking of redness...

there was a thread that asked about makeup, as she wanted to get married and didn't want red arms in her photos.....I responded to that thread, but thought I would share it with all of you that have redness.....

Sally Hansen spray on legs works like a hot damn!!!! I bought it in January as i had to go to the rec centre as part of a date I was going on.......My bumps were virtually gone, and the redness was about 50% better, but I still was self concsious. So i bought several cans and tried them. The nude and buff, were perfect for my fair skin tone....they have light glow and so on, but that is fi you have some colour like a tan or darker skin.

Anyways, it's waterproof, sauna proof, jaccuzi proof, and swim proof, and it doesn't look like make up at ALL......the only downside is your skin looks perfect and people comment how lovely it is, and you think ya wait til I shower.....then what you think? lol

it covers scars and redness 100%, I used it on my legs and arms and chest. I tried it on my face and for some weird reason it didn't seem to work there.....They have another can just for the face, but I just use foundation to even my skin tone. Maybe kprf could try the face one?

Pepper I know you said you have freckles, so it might mask those to, so I don't know if this is for you? The other thing is I don't have any hair left on my body, so I am not sure how this looks on arm hair, so maybe somone could post if it looks okay with hair.

You just wash it off with soap and water and some sort of scrub cloth.

Shake the can really well, spray it on, wipe it in like you would a lotion, very easy, let it dry for say 10 minutes before dressing, and you are good to go...

Summer is coming so i think that if someone tries this and posts a thread for others it might help with some self esteem issues, and the possibility of wearing spring/summer clothes.

currently I am using a new product called Loreal Sublime Glow daily moisturizer + skin tone enhancer (for fair skin tones). they also have for medium skin tones.

This stuff is the best colour enhancer ever.....no stink.....it has a shimmer/sparkle when you put it on.....the next day you have nice colour, it has been 4 days with this stuff (stopped using coconut and olive oil to use this) everyday, and it has changed my skin tone from pasty white, to exotic mediteranian colour....I use it on my face and eyelids too. It seems to cover any redness I still had remaing on my legs and tops of my arms....this stuff costs $12.00 canadian. People are asking me if I am from Greece or Italy, or portugal......which is funny becasue I am celtic bakground with Norwegian ...hahaha......it is also a bit funny becasue it doesn't look like a tan persay, it has just changed the tone and given a nice caramel hue.....very happy with results...

Pepper I was thinking this might work good for you too, because it won't cover the freckles, but it might hide the redness, I can't guarantee though, as my redness is very slight.

If someone has redness and tries this and it cover it, can you please post for others?

We have a VitaMix and can grind about anything into flour. (Awesome machine.) Haven't tried oats but will have too - that sounds yummy for pancakes, thanks! Ground some quinoa last week to make hot cereal with and it was pretty good. Added raisins, honey and cinnamon for a nice healthy and tasty breakfast. Going gluten- and dairy-free is gradually getting easier.

So....I took my heartbeat in the morning 72, then 15 minutes later 90 I took my heart beat after drinking 1/4 a cup of soy milk, it was 86, I guess cause before I was running to get my pulse checked (that was before my 2nd pulse) and then my beat lowered. So that would say i'm not sensitive to soymilk, correct?

yes Jewwules.....but keep in mind that this is just a tool......I've done some more reading on this and there is a couple more pointers.

Don't eat the or drink the food you are testing 24 hours before the test, it might give you a false reading, if say for example have drinken milk forever, adn you try to test it tommorrow, your body is quite used to it, so you might not the same results as if you don't eat or drink that food 24 hours to testing.

They aslo say you should be sitting while testing.

use the same hand or area, for both tests.

if your heart rate goes up, you can check every 1/2 hour to see when it goes back down.

rest in a chair for 5 minutes before starting the test.

the test is not full proof, it does give false negatives and postitives, there is so many variables, lets say you are sensitive to a certain chemical in you happen to inhale it just before taking the test, it could raise your heart beat....so this is just a tool, to double and triple check is good I think so you can be sure that results are accurate.

Jewwules why don't you check cow milk again tommorrow if your'e not drinking, or eating it today.

see what you get?

List of CEDS Practitioners (Vega Test)

This webpage has links and contact info for naturopaths and other health practitioners, who offer Computerized Electro-Dermal Screening (CEDS), also known as the Vega Test. They have contact info listed by state, as well as contact info in other countries. I thought this might be helpful.

what makes one person have such an allergic reaction to certain foods and others have no problems? I believe that something is out of balance on the inside of us. Many times its a PH balance problem. We can either cut the foods we enjoy out completely or try to eliviate the PH problem. Many times its as simple as drinking some cider vinegar with baking soda to bring out systems into balance. I just cant give up all the foods you listed. Im trying to figure out the PH thing. My hats off to you for being able to give up all those yummy foods.

Everyone is born unique......genetics are why some people are prone to allergies or sensitivities, or to manifest a type of disease also runs in family genetics.

I think it is wise of you to want to have an alkaline body, as diseases like cancer cannot even start in a alkaline body, only an acidic body.

Foods are broken down into 3 categories.....acid forming foods, alkaline forming foods, and neutral foods. Food either turns to ash(alkaline), acid or neutral once they are inside the digestive tract.

Western and Eastern medicine both agree that most illness's or diseases can be traced to digestive problems.

You should eat 80% of your diet in alkaline or neutral, and 20% or less acidic to get a natural Ph balance in your body.

you can look up on the internet what foods are in what category.

as far as how did I avoid yummy foods? It was really simple, I replaced with other yummy foods I never tried before or didn't even know existed. There are so many choices, that you will never feel deprived or hungry or unsatisfied, quite the opposite really.

As the saying goes......YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT......think about what that means.

Hello Punxroxprincess.......

The Loreal stuff doesn't say a tan, or self tanner, it just says "glow" so I didn't really expect colour.

It is not glittery, it just shimmers, so yes I used it on my face, you will get colour by the next morning so don't apply too much, just a thin layer on your body, do that for a few days, you get some nice skin tone from that. Not the orange tan colour, a nice caramel browny colour. Make sure you but the one for fair skin tones.

How are you feeling? how is your energy and pain levels?

I am glad you may have found someone to see about the test and acupuncture....skinE linked above vega tests, they have a list in Australia. You could see how amny people in your region you have to choose from.
