okay you are allergic to those foods and things, but you could also be sensitive to other foods, that are causing your reactions in your body including your flushing.
Just so you know i had an allergy test before and I didn't register allergic to anything, but I had many, many sensitivities. I suspect if you avoided foods that you were allergic and sensitive to, that you might feel some relief in your KP and flushing. can't hurt to try.... |

I would say for about three days I have been eating gluten/dairy/corn free and the other stuff I am sensitive too free as well. I only weigh 117 lbs and I am 5"4 so I hope I dont lose too much weight. A little I would like. But As far as my skin, no changes that I notice. But the elimination of foods hasnt been too difficult. I have made food at home instead of eating out and its sooo yummy. I made a yummy salad yesterday. I am glad I am not sensitive to too many foods or it might be harder. I still have to get my yeast count. If it turns out bad, then I am not sure how the sugar elimination thing will do. I hope that by taking yeast killers daily and avoiding bad sugars or refined ones I can somehow get it down if it is bad. I have a few months to see how this works for my skin, but I have a lot of faith that it will work. I have to find my camera so I can take some photos. I keep telling myself to be patient when I see my bumpy skin.If it worked for baronster and other people it has to work for me.
Being that I live in the US i think I am going to go out and buy that eucerin cream since Walgreens is literally across the street. But I like what Baronster did with the oils. Olive oil baths and coconut oil on skin after. I may try this after 6 weeks because I am interested in what the food elimination process will do for my skin by itself. I would not know how to tell which method was helping me the most. So I have a month and a half to go for some good results but it should go by fast. Thanx everybody. Lets keep eachother motivated. cielo |

Hey Baronster,
I've been lurking around for a while, reading all of the posts. Juat wondering, how do you do it? I mean how do you have the strength to stay away from chocolate, milk, cheese, and wheat (I love them all!)? It's hard because my parents buy them for me (i'm 13)and think it's silly that i'm trying to stay away from the foods (they think i'm going on a diet). I'm trying the sugar/wheat/dairy free diet before I get the test, but I can't go a whole day without cheating !-Thanks Jewwules |

Cielo.....while reading your post today I was thinking about creams and so forth. You know I think it would be a good idea, I'll tell you why.
anybody who does manual exfoliation will tell you that you have to keep using or your bumps wiill come back, well I was thinking, ya use whatever method works for you, but the beauty is that new bumps won't be forming so you can stop after your skin is clear. I have no bumps at all. Today I just got my period about 10 minutes ago, and my skin is beautiful, even on my face which used to explode. (No cramps hehe )So I don't care what you guys do to speed up the proccess of eliminating bumps and redness, keep in mind that the food is the only thing that will keep them from coming back. That is what is really important here. Please be patient to see results, I promise it WILL work for you. Please do take before pics as I regret that I didn't, as everybodies view of what bad is is different, I know mine was severe, becasue when I see pictures posted here, I'm like ya that's what mine looked like 15 years ago, and before I plucked and squeezed it. And I haven't seen anyone with the red/purple dots like mine that inhabited every pore on my legs and tops of my whole arms, down to the wrist. Jewwules......I tell you what kept me motivated, 21 years of KP. I was willing to do ANYTHING to get rid of. I will also tell you a liitle trick that kept me from feeling sorry for myself......I watched a documentary about a tribe in Africa that the only nourishment and food they had was leaves....they would boil them and eat them everyday. When I was shopping or at a friends house or wherever and I was thinking "Oh life is so bad I can't have chocolate and I really want it right now" I would switch my thinking to all the people who live in this world who have no choice at all. we are so lucky to be able to go into a grocery store and have choices of organic and 20 types of this and that. I would also tell myself this is a temporary fix, I get to go back to normal, and I get to have get skin and health at the same time, so that is what I used for my motivation, think of what your motivation is. to everyone else....I have got some emails from some readers who asked for my help. One was from a father of a 15 year old girl, who has Kp on her face, and is casuing self esteem issues, and he is going to help his daughter get better, he told me last night that he has spoken to 4 N.D. and all of them tolld him the same thing........her face will clear up with food sensitivites, he also promised me that (once her face cleared) he would spread the word, and deticate time to help others. For those of you that live in area where this is alost impossible to get tested and supplements and so forth, my doctor reccommends just cutting out wheat and dairy for a couple of months and see how your skin and body reacts. |

Thanks for the advice
![]() By the way, do you think nutritionists would give the test. My mom is going to one for herself and said she would ask if they could give me the test. |

This test is based on acupucture, and your muscles, so I don't think so, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Tell me which city and state you live in and I will see if I can track down someone good for you. |

cielo, what are you taking for your yeast killer?
I'm 37 years old, and have had these blasted red dots all over my upper and lower legs. I haven't suffered like a lot of other people have that are on this site (no huge, painful, purple blisters) but it still is striking because I have a very white complexion! Nothing like being red polka-dotted on your legs! Still, I'm thankful because it really could be worse-like all over my body. Reading all of these posts have helped me come to believe that its more than skin deep. I have decided to try all of the things that are the least expensive as I have a pretty large family (there are 7 of us) and don't have a lot of extra cash! As a child I had more ear infections than I can count and my mom was always taking me to the doctor to get penicillin shots. I also have asthma...which as a kid my mom always thought was a 'chest cold' so it wasn't ever diagnosed. But my youngest son has severe asthma, he's been hospitalized many times for it-I remember having to struggle for my next breath, just like him. From what you have written, Baronster, I would like to find out about the food sensitivites. There are two naturopathic practices not terribly far from where I live (it would be driveable), but I couldn't get ahold of one, and the other said they don't do vega testing. He said to check for the free paper they have at the health food stores- maybe in the advertisements there is someone offering the test. I'll give it a shot. From your experience and Rachel18's, without a doubt candida is running rampantly through the corridors of my bod !! I'd love to just feel good, red dots or not! Thank you for alllll the kindness and patience shown, it really is lovely to find nice people in the world willing to listen and help. (sorry for the lengthy post) |

Lose The Sugar Urge
I agree Baronster, as it pertains to the motivation question. People that are depressed and miserable over being very overweight or having skin issues, shouldn't have to be motivated after years and years of dealing. However, food acts as a psychological crutch for many people's underlying issues. My only issue are old school family members, who think eating healthy is narcissistic and obsessive.
Anyway, people with a severe weakness for sugar laden foods, should try a product I saw on the news called Sugarest (http://www.sugarest.com). They actually had people, live in Penn Station try it, then eat something sweet, like ice cream or a candy bar. The product basically deactivates the sugar senses of your tongue. So, you can feel the texture of what is in your mouth, but can't taste it. At that point, you lose the urge to finish eating it. For the people with the intense weakness for sugar filled foods and treats, this might be your solution. |

Jewwules...I can understand you mom's concerns, so what you need to do, is google..... american association of naturopathic physicians.......get on that site and it will say to the right side.......find a ND......hit that button.......then put your city and state in the boxes....but DO NOT put a name....that box is if you know a doctors name that you are trying to find........your search will yield names of doctors with their website , email, and address, and phone numbers.
This goes for the member who lives near chicago, put your city and state if nothing shows up, put the next city you would be willing to go to. Good luck. For Cinnamon.....You should defintely google leaky gut syndrome and read about it, it sounds to me like you and your son may have this.........asmtha, skin condtions and yeast problems are all apart of having this syndrome. Until you can find out what foods are causing this, just cut out wheat and dairy for now, and if you don't want to feed the candida don't eat sugary products or fermented foods. You can take acidiphilus to put some friendly bacteria in your gut for the meantime.........my doctor mentioned that you can take your heart beat before and after eating foods, if your heart rate goes up, you are sensitive to it. If you can't find the test or can't afford to go, look at Rachels post on this thread on antimicrobals to kill the yeast. SkinE......My family rolled their eyes at me while I was doing this, they thought I was crazy. They actually gave me a pretty hard time, and when I told them what I was doing and why they kind of laughed and scoffed a bit. WHO"S laughing now?????? both my parents are diebitic and very over weight, they take so many medications they both have fruit baskets to hold them in. My mom has really swollen ankles, and immune problems, KP, and bad skin, high blood pressure, sleeping problems, my dad is a heart attack waiting to happen. I've begged my mom to do this test as she now has to walk with a cane, but she told me she can't give up sugar, she has a sweet tooth, and must have sweets everyday. So I really appreciate your link for that, it might help my mom get on the road to recovery. I am glad I was able to break the cycle in my family, and make my health and wellness my top priority. |

Oh yeah, about the tet and where to find it.....the test is based on acupuncture so try an acupuncture clinic as well. Just find a good one, ask if they know how to heal the gut, and if the test will give you a candida yeast score.

Baronster,
Lots of questions. 1. I'm trying a potato pasta and at the very end maybe fourth to the last ingredient it says wheat flour and i'm trying to avoid wheat, should I eat it? 2. Since i'm still a kid, do you think that I won't have as many or not as strong food sensitivities, or do they have an equal chance of being as strong or as numerous if I was 20 years older? 3. (not really a question) Thanks for the advice on how to keep on your goal ![]() -Thanks for all your help, Jewwules |
