Baronster

Speaking of dermabrasion, I saw another forum post entitled "My cured KP miracle!" talking about similar products which you described. She speaks of a product called *Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Body Cream* and almost exactly describes the benefits of this method (except the redness part). I tried to upload an image - who knows if it was successful or not. I'm wondering what your thoughts are of this particular item for this purpose.

Balance is an obvious choice for me when thinking about helping my KP. Focusing on food sensitivities/LGS and dermabrasion sounds like a winner to me. Thanks for your work.

I say whatever works for you go for it. It sounds like she got amazing results.

That product is available in the states though, so I guess you would have to buy on e-bay if you don't live in USA.?

It is so funny because we used the exact same method, by accident.

I was rubbing the olive oil in my skin because I read it was very beneficial to the face and body......and I started to massage firmly and after about 5 to 10 minutes of massage in the same area, black flakes, and coiled up hairs started coming off my skin, i like her, had put a towel down and rubbed for hours and hours.

The nice thing about combining this with food sensitivites and healing your gut, is your bumps don't return and the redness goes away as you heal.

About my coiled up hairs, they were very fine and some seemed long, like they had been growing for awhile. I had laser hair removal 3 years ago, and they stoppped the dark thicker hair from growing, but did not stop the finer hairs, which always were trapped in my pores.

I did this along with microbermasion to clear off old skin and bumps, but her method sounds like one product will do both for you......I will keep reading her post to see if people get the same results as her. Interesting stuff.

step by step plan ?!

Im almost scared to start believing that between baronster and rachel, perhaps we might be getting somewhere with this?!

I am a little confused still...
We take a vega test, see what food sensetivities we may have and we cut them out of our diet for at least one month in order to see if we experience any benefits?
I started to take some pau d'arco on the back of another post i think from rachel18 a while ago. It hasnt made any difference on its own, would it help assist with this elimination diet?
I could do with a step by step guide to exactly what we need to be doing!!! I know its a pain but i get confused with all this information at once!

yes, i'm 18 and i think i have KP for more ore less 6 years now... first i thought it had something to do with my puberty, but now i know it does not... i'm still trying to find the reason for my KP, because i did not have it all my life, like some of you maybe it's the cowmilk... i will see on April 11th, then i will go to the doctor but i have another question: has anybody of you pimples anywhere on the body? i always get some exactly one day before my period begins, it's really, really annoying, but i noticed that evey they became a bit less by avoiding dairy and so on... so i think there might be a correlation, too?! i hope this goes away, it would be so nice to not wear makeup those days of the month

first off, where do you live????

The first thing is to find out what foods you are sensitive to. You can do a vega test, or you can do an ellimanation diet, or there are other methods listed above in question for my doctor.

If you are fortunate to live somewhere where you can get a test, I would do that, as you get test results intstantly, and you can start your new diet the next day. The elimination diet will take you I guess bout 6 weeks to figure out what foods you are sensitive to, then you will have to start avoiding those foods.

My test gave me a yeast score, based on that information along with my food results, my doctor knew I was suffering from "leaky gut syndrome" which is discussed on this thread with several links to websites.

I was treated for LGS, at the same time I avoided all of the foods that I was sensitive to. I took some supplements to kill the bad yeast, I took supplements to replace with friendly bacteria, and I took some drops to support my liver while cleansing.

I am sure there is many ways to achieve the same results, as rachel18 shows. Rachel gives you a step by step on what herbs she took, mine were prescribed by my naturopath.

another forum member on here, didn't have LGS, but she has digestive issues which she is being treated for, and she had mold and is dehydrated.

You might get a lot of information if you read this whole thread. I know it is getting long, but I think it would be worth the time.

just to clarify some foods I had to eliminate for 4 months, there are still 4 foods that I have to avoid, but I can enjoy on occassion.

to Kei

Hi there Kei,

My whole body changed when my period was about to arrive, and my skin was a total mess, and I got pimples too. My G.P. solution was to put me on the "pill" but it did hardly anything for me, except I knew exactly which day it was coming.

When I did started this was Nov 1,2006, (the day after my test) I got my period on Nov 23.......it was a miracle ....(.that what I emailed to my doctor)........

I had no skin issues, no tenderness, light to medium flow, no bloating, hardly no cramps, I took no midol or any other medications for pain, I did not get PMS or any mood swings or irratibility.......sounds lovely doesn't it?

Honestly, if that had been the only benefits I would have been really pleased, because my period was so painfull in all respects.

punrockprincess

I only started this thread a couple of weeks ago, so this is new information for forum memebers, people are just starting to get tested, so results will come in over the coming months.

The weight loss was an extreme benefit.......but if you think about it, I cut out sugar completely, and all proccessed foods, so it was a given that I would lose.

I still have to lose weight as I was 240 lbs (yikes) when I started.

There is many health benefits besides your skin.....the first thing you feel is energy....like I've never felt before. My sleep patterns normalized...I am never tired or yawning.....my blood pressure went from 130 over 88 to 110 over 80, which is textbook for me. My monthly visitor went from extreme hell on earth to no symptoms. No breakouts at period time either. No bad breath, no stinky body odour, no dandruff, the cracks in my tongue have healed.....my eyes have gone from cloudy to white....no headaches anymore....no belching or farting.....

So everyone will differ, depending on what is your symptoms.......everything cleared up for me, but the skin was an extreme BONUS, because I really had no hope.....none at all.....

Until a week into this forum I didn't even understand that I have digestive problems, that lead to leaky gut syndrome, which was a bit of a shock.

After reading all of the information it all makes perfect sense to me, it will give some of you hope I'm sure, because there is a solution to every problem, I have always believed that.

I will read your mail and contact your mom okay.

re: punxroxprincess

for people following this thread, punzroxprincess will posting everyday on "test result" thread, on how she feels, as she has many issues besides KP, and experiences daily pain.

I have given her a 2 week challenge for elimanating foods form her diet......we will she if she has any improvement.

post #147 describes everything about her.

I think she is a very brave young girl and could use some encouragement from other forum members....you can post those comments on the other thread.

is everyone else in the world trying to lose weight? I NEED TO GAIN WEIGHT!!! I'm 5'9".. 22 year old guy and weigh 126 lbs. I wear a 27 inch waist pant!. I eat plenty and have all my life, but as of recently it is getting harder to eat as I have all these things I must avoid now: I LOVE TOMATOES!!!!

baronster or anyone else, would you know anything about why my skin turns really red due to temperature variations/light to heavy trauma. that's something I still have no explanation for. I have KP on face and back of arms, but the worst problem of all is my skin just gets really RED and PURPLE! for example, when I get out of the shower my feet are bright cherry red! when i wash my hands or do the dishes with hot/warm water my hands turn BRIGHT RED! My face also turns bright red (KP or rosacea) i want to figure this out! Oh, and the tips of my ears are constantly bright red.

Recently I have begun allergy treatment and I was apparently allergic to:
Tomatoes, potatoes, milk, seafood(crab, shrimp), VERY ALLERGIC TO dust mites, eggs, almonds, and an array of plant/tree pollens.

From what I have gathered, this could explain KP on my skin.. but .. would it explain this redness? If not, WHAT IS IT!? I would love to enjoy warm weather, hot baths/showers, moderate alcohol consumption , and maybe one or two girlfriends in my lifetime but I have to solve these things that are holding me back from doing NORMAL activities!!!

From what my gastro... doctor said about my recent blood test results: I have no vitamin deficiencies, my body *is* able to break down gluten properly ( which he says includes wheat ). He talks really fast however, and that's all I really got from him.

really, really lovely! i mean, such an improvement after just 22 days... wow... i will get my period just 2 days after visiting the doctor, so i think i have to wait until next time^^ you all and especially baronster gave me so much hope you can't believe it! and i noticed, that your body feels better if YOU feel better, if you are bad mooded your body will show this, and if you're happy and treat your body (in our case the skin) good, this can help the improvement... so love your skin, even if it's "bad", because not the skin is doing something wrong, we are just treating it wrong, and the skin just reacts. poor, poor skin *grin* anyway, i hope we all will learn to treat our bodies right so they don't have to suffer anymore...
