peanut butter helped my kp!

i know this might sound really weird and u probably won't believe me but it's true. i have had kp for a few years and nothing has worked so far. two days ago i was putting peanut butter on my skin(it is supposed to help with getting rid of stretch marks) and out of desperation i put it on my arms. after about 20 minutes i washed it off. my skin was really smooth and soft but still red. the next day i woke up and looked at my arms expecting it to be like always and i was so shocked to see that my kp was barely visible. i think it really helped my kp and i researched it and found out that peanut butter has a lot of vitamins and minerals that are good for the skin which is probably why it works. just thought i would let you know, if anyone decides to do this let me know how it works.

Coowel. I'll try it. I have an obsession for peanut butter anyway... What brand of peanut butter are you using?

But isn't it true that for some people, when they don't do anything to they're skin, (or KP areas) and when they wake up, they're skin is already clear, from the "circulation" in our bodies, until a couple hours after standing up, then it comes back.... soo.. the theory of the peanut butter might not work, unless it stays clear for the whole entire day..

but it'll be really great if peanut butter works, because spring is almost coming, and i don't wanna be stuck in pants and long sleeve all the time.

I have to agree with saynotokp, my arms and legs always look relatively "normal" when I wake up....by late afternoon/early evening it's back to the usual redness

But that's cool about the PB, hope it continues to work for ya!

my skin is still clear since using the peanut butter. yes at night the skin is a bit redder but much much better that it ever was before. plus, i have only used the peanut butter once maybe if i continue using it, it will continue to improve my kp.
i used the classic skippy peanut butter

Okay. All the peanut butter my Wal Mart has is Skippy anyway because of the salmonilla (sorry, can't spell it) thing.

We use Smucker's Natural or Smucker's Organic: the only ingredients are peanuts and salt, no bad stuff like high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils. Very yummy.

i don't think it matters. all peanut butter has the same basic ingredients and contains the same minerals and vitamins

I was experimenting with peanut butter on one side of my face, and a perscription on the other side, and the peanut butter side looks better.
