well... i just thought that maybe it would make some difference, like the whole 'sugar crystals in body lotion thing'.
because of the hard bits opening pores or something? i dunno lol sorry for my ignorance |

I've tried the pb thing for two days now. My arms are alot smoother but the redness is still there. I'm going to keep trying though. The redness is the worst part.

hi all...new to the forum..i tried this pb thing and noticed a slight effect on the redness...i only tried it once so far, but how are the rest of you doing who have been trying it? Is this something you've stuck with..has it continued to produce results? it makes sense from the perspective of pb being full of vit a and e, but i haven't heard of it anywhere else..

whoa, this seems WAY too weird to be true. I'm interested to check it out. hahah it seems silly to smother your body in peanut butter to clear your skin...but hey, like most KP peeps here, I'll try anything. You said you left it on for about 20 mins?

well let's just say it's a lot more fun than putting the acidic stuff all over your skin... ;o)
it's strange because this monring i woke up and it was visibly better since the evening when i put it on, but i put coconut oil on in the shower this morning after another app of pb, and the redness was somewhat back? that's why i want to hear how the others have done in the long term ![]() |

I read long ago that peanut oil rebuilds skin cells. That could be what is working with applying the peanut butter.

i might be crazy enough to try this. I guess im afraid that ill get like pimples or something from the oil in the peanut clogging pores in my skin

I suggest that you use creamy. Just because it would be easier to spread. Last edited by JackieDawn; 04-10-2007 at 02:20 AM.. |

Hi all!
I just found out that I have KP on Monday. I have had it for 30 years. It started on my upper arms when I was a teenager and then it spread to my lower arms, stomach, back, legs, and my rear. When I get stressed out or have anxiety attacks I begin to pick at the stupid little invaders. I am going to try the PB Oh I hope it works for me too. I went to a dermatologist today and he prescribed some kind of acid lotion and when I got back home I went to my Pharmacy and they do not carry the stuff and cannot order it. So now it is either the PB or I call the DR back and tell him to call it into a Pharmacy there and have them mail me my prescription. Something has to work. One night I could not sleep and so I went and took a bath and took the pumice stone to my arms and the back of my shoulders. Before I realized what I was doing I actually scrubbed my skin off. Boy did I notice it the next morning and several days after. This KP can really be depressing! |
