Rizumu and others - Please Contribute to new site pages!
Hi Riz,
Would you mind if I used your photos at my site? I would like to start a new page for testimonials, and you are the first to provide photos of your success. This would include the pictures and a description that I would write, and it would be awesome if you could include a paragraph or so of your own comments about it. I could do this soon, or it could wait until you are ready or have clearer skin, whatever you are comfortable with. Thanks in advance and please let me know! Drop me some email, if you would. (A new pic of your current progress would be super-cool.) ~Turquoise ****************** (at) yahoo.com Everybody: If anyone else would like to contribute their experiences with dermabrasion, AHA, or both, please feel free to contact me. It can be text or photos, or both. These can be positive or negative experiences. Even those of you who hate me and/or have flamed me are welcome to contribute. Submissions will be edited for spelling and grammar, if necessary, and possibly for length if they get too big. So this is your chance to be heard, tell it like it is! And to be published at a site that will be relatively permanent and viewable to the world, and it will not get lost in archive like the posts here. A New Page for Product Reviews For Everybody. (Again.) I am starting a new section for reviews of all the KP products you guys have tried. This means you describe what product you used, and how, for how long, and what results it gave you. There will be a separate page for every product, full of everyone's experiences, so new people can have a reference and reviews to look at to help them decide on new products. Submissions should include the following info: Your KP Severity and Location: (Big bumps? Red Dots? No hair growth? And where on the body.) Name/Type of Product: The brand name, or the active ingredient (if you have an idea of what it is.) Also, what potency (percentage) of ingredient it was, if that's relevant. Duration/Frequency of time used: Number of times per day, and for how long? Method of Application: Topical cream? Gel? Ingested supplement? physical abrasion/rubbing method, etc. Other: Price you paid, size of container, where you bought it, etc. Experiences: A written account of what it was like, and how well it worked (or didn't!). Your Contact Info: (Optional) If you want to be credited (not anonymous), give the name that you would like me to put on the submission. And, if you want to put your email address on it (so people can contact you and ask/comment about your experiences), that is an option, too. This is a great way for people to record their experiences and help others. I often see posts here from those who see the need for a compilation of product reviews, but it is just not possible to do it at the forum like this, because topics - even the best of them - get lost to time and non-bumping. Every few months or so, we get a new person asking if KP Duty works, for instance, so this can potentially put an end to some of the confusion. (We all know that Dermadoctor only publishes the positive reviews!!) Thanks to everyone who will participate. Please email your responses to me, and I will get to work on the new section. As much detail as you want to provide can be helpful. I will also accept edits if you want to add something later or change your viewpoint on a product, so no worries about things being etched in cyberstone. The only submissions that may not be accepted are those that don't contain enough info, or if you formed an opinion about a product without giving it a fair try. Try to discuss the products that you used for more than a month, or if not, tell us what was wrong with them that made you give it up early, that type of thing. Some products that could use reviews are the BBW Eucalyptus Spearmint Lotion, KP Duty, Salex, Am Lactin, Lac Hydrin, Retin-A, and methods like Oil Pulling, pumice sponge, loofah, etc. I look forward to reading all of your comments and putting them on the site! I probably won't reply in this thread, but will email you back. Thanks, ~T ![]() |

Same here - I am for sure willing to participate in this. Everything I have found on this forum and on your page, Turquoise, sort of made me believe that there is some hope left for my KP, which has always been severe, but got a lot worse and also spread on other body parts over past few months. Anyway, I've started with my AHA treatment recently and I already have my before pics, now I'll wait for a while to see the results and send you a report!

hey miserable
hi miserable,
by the way..not to intrude or anything, but are you miserable because of the kp. i know it's bad, believe me....i've been here and there and everywhere numerous times....it's been an emotional and psychological roller coaster ride, but honestly....miserable is a strong word and an even stronger feeling. We don't have contrl over what our skin does every moment and that's what ****es us off the most, but the only thing we have control over is how we choose to look at it and make us feel. Believe me, please take it from someone who has learned a world from this suffering and moved past it emotionally at least. You don't choose every one of your life circumstances and what happen outside of you (or on you in this case) but you choose your attitude and how you look at it and approach everything within your consciousness. Everything. These words are not just words to be anymore, but a reality...point blank. Look this is the truth, and it takes a good deal of time to really sink in...but the sooner you are exposed to it....the sooner it gets you thinking and eventually it will sink in. When you achieve that perspective when you can separate yourself from your skin and know...on all levels....that you are not your body and not your skin, then you are freed. You're literally freed....and can then proceed to cure your kp one right, careful, patient treatment at a time. Never ever underestimate the power of your mind.... Well....you might already know this, but i wanted to throw it in anyhow. But I was wondering..you said that lately oyur kp is spreading and getting worse......has anything at all changed recently. I mean any change at all in the diet, anything you weren't eating before and are eating now or the opposite.....any pregnancies or anything? any insight would be much appreciated --daze |

Hi Daisy,
thanks for your words and don't worry, you're not intruding ![]() The thing is that I was in a weird emotional state when I chose my nickname, perhaps this is why it's that "strong". But lately I've actually been feeling down more and more often, not only because of the kp (I wouldn't really discuss other things now and here), but it sure does contribute a lot. I know that our mind is a powerful thing, however, sometimes I feel as if my skin is reacting just in the opposite way. Last year for example, I was kind of positive about everything for a change, but here we go - my kp suddenly got so much worse! I get a candy here, but I lose two there, you know. It's a win-lose situation. So I just got back to my usual "miserable" mode. ![]() I have no idea, why my kp got so much worse. It was slowly spreading and worsening during years though, but really slowly and only on my upper arms. And then, it's appeared on my legs, bottom and further on my upper arms in a few months! What is different is that I've lost some weight (about 18 lbs) and my diet is much better now (healthier, I also take supplements, such as vitamins and minerals, omega 3, etc.). Not something that is supposed to worsen kp, eh? I'm not pregnant, I didn't move, ... ?!?! Basically, the only reason could be a lot of stress I'm under lately - job, school, personal matters... |
