permanent hair removal?
i have recently found out that i have kp even though i have had it for a few years. anyway i just wanted to know if permanent hair removal (such as flash lamps or electrolysis) works since kp occurs around hair follicles.

I think it possibly could because the appearance of KP is due largely to the blocked hairs since keratin isn't shedding as fast as the normal person so that the hair can grow to give the look of regular skin. If the hair is removed, this irritation would simply vanish so there wouldn't be any factor causing the irritation and consequently characteristic of KP.

Actually That's The Next Step In The Journey Of Getting Rid Of My Kp... Right Know I'm On My Op Regimen, And As Soon As I Get Change I Will Have All My Body Hair Remove With Laser.... Of Course That First I Will Do It In A Hidden Area In Order To See If This Works....

Please let me know how that goes. I've been thinking about that for awile and want to try it but I don't have the money for it right now. I think it may work, but I'm going to try the oil pulling method first.

How coud the hair be removed when it's trapped under the bumps?

well, i know that the method that i am using method utilizes a light ray that can travel beneath skin layers, without damaging them, to pinpoint a hair follicle. so i doubt that bumps on your skin is going to stop it from working.

Laser hair removal does not work for keratosis pilaris. Lasers target pigment in hair. The hair follicles that cause kp have hairs with no pigment and are so fine that the laser won't do anything to them. Don't waste your money on these silly things.

just thought i would keep u updated. i did the treatment a few days ago and the person who did it told me that she has already treated a few people with the same condition and that it actually went away after they did the treatment a few times. she also said that at first it would get even redder but eventually it would get better. which is what happened the first day it got really bad but today i already see an improvement. it might just be my imagination but i really think it helped. i will do it a few more times and then decide wether to continue or try something else.

Hi everyone i have Kp and i just joined this site. The condition sucks i really am annoyed by it and especially because in the winter i have to be like a hibernating bear because it gets worse. I am recently trying this rejuvating soap from facedoctor.ca it seems to work a little but then i use hydrocortisone cream for the redness it seems to work to
