Has anyone ever had YEAST SPORES or know any information on it?

I had a biopsy done on the side of my face where my skin is dry and where I have keratonic plugs/KP... I actually have strings of keratin coming out of my pores.. It's crazy..... Anyways, the biopsy came back as yeast spores/eczema/seb.dermatitis.... What are yeast spores and what ca I use to take care of it? My derm is lost and clueless... Any info is grateful.... Thank YOU.....

My dad has yeast problems too. It’s called Seborrheic Dermatitis. For him it caused really bad dandruff and rashes. He uses a prescription Nizoral which contains ketoconazole, he says is also available over the counter in a lower concentration. He has also used Clotrimazole? There are lots of products in drug stores to fight yeast (fungal infections) but I don’t know how they would work for your particular problem. Athletes foot and some diaper rashes are also yeast infections.

My dad has had much more success treating his seb. derm then I have had treating my KP. I can even tell he has it any more. -Best wishes

Thanks badcattoe! I think my yeast infection stems from the seb. dermatitis.... There correlated in some way. So, your father woud just rub the cream in the areas? Is it better to take something oral or topical? Thanks for the info... This has been an ongoing thing..

I guess yeast is closely associated with seborrheic dermatitis. I don’t know if it’s “the chicken or the egg” kind of thing. My dad treats his seb. dermatitis by killing yeast. He has a shampoo for his scalp and a cream for his face.

He uses prescription Nizoral shampoo and has used clotrimazole cream in the past. He also uses T-gel shampoo when he doesn’t have the dough for the prescription. I guess there is a Nizoral shampoo available over the counter as well; it’s just not as strong as the prescription. -
