Has anyone tried a product called Differin?
My dermatologist advised I try it out, but have been quite hesitant about it as the side effects can cause birth defects (not that I’m planning on getting pregnant but it made me wonder how long something like that stays in your system).

Differin is otherwise used to treat facial acne. It's a prescription medicine. Some people find it very irritaiting, the skin gets red until it adjusts. But I don't think that it's more dangerous than any other doctor prescribed medicines. I've used it for KP on my upper-arms, but it hasn't helped at all.

Differin cream right?? Its pretty harmless as far as i know. Look on the box it comes in and check the scheduling status-if its higher that 4(which i doubt) then you should be cautious

Re: Has anyone tried a product called Differin?
Start out by using it every other day- I love it- just like the fountain of youth but too expensive for KP use. I have acne too! I used it a few times on my legs and it did work for me but everyones is different!

Re: Has anyone tried a product called Differin?
I tried Differin and it didn't help me at all. Perhaps I wasn't as diligent with it as I should have been. But it said on the pharmacy printout that it can cause dry skin as a side effect... which didn't seem like a great idea for KP anyway.

I tried this about 9 years ago. I put it on at night and the next morning I looked like a red Racoon who sat 1 ft. from the sun. My face was so red I had to call out of work, I guess I had some bad reaction to it but I think the redness was gone in a week or so.

The cream works well for the KP on my forehead, but it is too expensive to use regularly at $120 a tube!
