Thumbs up Finally Cured

(First of all I only have kp on my thighs.)
Okay, Well I have been trying many different things for my kp, but nothing seemed to work, well my doctor proscribed a 10% acid based lotion...I think it's called "Lactonol" it took maybe about 2-3 Months for it to actually get rid of it all, well I watched the progess by week, and let me tell you it was awesome. I put it on in the morning after showers and at night after a shower (which ever time I decided to take a shower) but my point is I put it on 2 times a day.You will feel kind of a buring sensation but that is only because this acid lotion burns through the layers of your skin and gets to the irritated hair folicules that are blocked. Well like after a month I noticed that my skin on my thighs was getting relly flakey from where my kp was because of it burning off the skin layers. So I went down to just once a day (at nighttime before I went to bed) and it seemed like it really helped because in the morning I would put a good moisturizing lotion on and that would help not make my legs so dry. So it started getting better and better so I finally just started using none at all. All I do now is just Moisturize Moisturize and Moisturize because if i don't my legs will get really itchy and if i scratch them the red bumps will appear again. Look down for *Tips* about the lotion...

*Tips*
-Try to keep the lactonol on as much as possible because otherwize it will like have little lotion balls on your your infected spots which are really hard to get off.
-After you put the lactonol make SURE you wash your hands other wize your hands will be super dry, and it not very good then...lol!
-Put the lactonol on JUST the skin parts that have kp, because if you put any on healthy skin you will regret it because you will get like kind of burn marks (they eventually go away but they are not very pretty).
-Don't mix any other lotions on with it because it will have bad side affects (thats what the bottle says).
-If you absolutely HAVE to shave make sure you change your razors alot so your kp doesnt spread to healthy skin.
-And i have learned when you ever scratch you kp it gets A LOT worse because you fingernails are one of the dirtiest things on you body. It just spreads bateria on your kp and then they get REALLY infected.

**Okay, well this is all I can think of...if you have any questions just post a reply. I know this probably won't work for everyone but I hope it at least works for some.

I'm looking for it myself. Seems it's probably some sort of 10% lactic acid treatment. There's quite a few abound, some are a combination of lactic acid and vitamin a - both of which are known to help KP and induce peeling. I'll keep searching in case this "lactonol" has some other helpful ingredient...

Edit: Think I've found it! (Thanks Walgreens.com)

Brand Name:
LACTINOL 10% LOTION
Generic Equivalent:
LACTIC ACID 10% LOTION
