Aquaphor - good or not good?

I feel like I have tried everything... Can anyone tell me if they have heard to us or NOT to use products like Aquaphor and Eucerin. I have read both schools of thought- to heavily moisturize and also to lightly moisturize.

I have been using a new Eucerin product that claims to help with the "bumps". It definately helps when I use it religously but I am so bad about being consistant.

My ppor 1 year old has just started showing signs of KP. I may try baby aquaphor on him. Has anyone else tried this?

The Eucerin I have has mineral oil in it, which I read has too big of a molecule to easily absorb into our skin for KP.
