I am a 25 year old male and I have many of the symptoms of KP but I am beginning to wonder if I should be using alpha or beta hydroxy acids at all. The skin on the back of my arms is not rough or bumpy and doesn't fit the chicken pox symptoms. The arms have a pink or red tint to them but not so much as to really stand out. My issue becomes that about every 2 weeks a bump or two will arise of the surface, kind of like a cyst, although I am pretty sure it is not acne, althought it is tender to the touch. The bump will flatten out within a week or two but then will leave a pink scar from where it was, which I beleve leads to the discoloration on my arms. I am pretty sure that this is KP but I don't know if I should be treating the same way as those who have the rough and bumpy skin condition. I am currently exfoliating the arms with a loofah in the shower and the glytone acid soap. I then alternate between regular lotion and the gyltone lotion. I am hoping that someone else is experiencing these same symptoms and may have a different remedy. I am open to any suggestions to clear up my arms. Thanks to anyone who might be able to help out.

try and acid based lotion this is what is workin for me i mean i tried everything and my doc proscribed this to me... it has a 10% acid in but i think its called lactonol so just ask ur doctor about it...it takes about 2 to 3months but u have to be patient with, you will also see ur skin kind of peeling also but thats just the skin that it has to ge through so it is perfectly normal...theres a thread on this forum that has a BUNCH of stuff with this kind of lotion so ull just have to look for it...
