How can I get rid of the red? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!

How can I get rid of the redness?
I am using Neostrata 15 which seems to be ok and using an exfoliating brush everyday, my skin is lovely and smooth but still has red dots all over.
Im getting married in a few months and my dress is strapless so I need some help to get rid of these awful spots!
PLEASE!

When my skin was temporarily KP free, I went tanning and my skin looked flawless!

You should try working up to the 20% strength, keep at it twice a day for the rest of the time you have. (Provided you can do so without irritation.) My red dots took a couple extra months to clear out - it was *long* after the skin felt smooth.

How long have you been using the 15%, and what is your frequency?

Maybe its the exfoliating brush that is causing more irritation, I thought because of using an acid there was no need for using a brush.

Yes, the brush should not be used at the same time as the AHA. And once a day AHA is *never* enough to actively treat serious KP. Twice a day is essential. I am not surprised you are getting very slow results on your current regimen.

Oh ok I just used it once a day because the packaging said to use once a day for the first two weeks....I have to be really careful with it as I also have eczema.

It's prudent to be careful at first, but if you're not getting irritation, it's fine to move up and begin active treatment. I would guess that you'll be in for at least a few months to see/feel significant improvement.
The trial period where you're just getting your skin used to being exfoliated doesn't usually make a dent in serious KP.

If for some reason you don't get rid of the redness by your wedding day, try body makeup. I used it for my wedding and it worked well. I can't see my bumps or redness in any of the photos. Just be careful not to get it on your white dress. Ask your makeup artists to recommend something to you.

Good luck.

Hi Pixiewoowoo

Im in the same boat as u. Im using Neostrata 15% plus i exfoliate with a aha acid based body wash as well which got rid of all the bumps my skin now im completely bumps free but not dot free. I am left with all these brownish red and red dots all over my legs. I wish i could find something that will make them go away. I have them all over my legs.

If your skin tone tans well... then the best quick fix would be to tan for your wedding day. If you dont like tanning then a fake tan can help diguise it as well. But if you gonna op for a fake tan try it out way in advance from your wedding day cause you dont want to get the wrong shade and end up a orange in a wedding dress.

Same with the body make up... test before you use it. Go out in the daylight and see how it looks on your skin. Cause some body make up looks like you rubbed a lot of foundation all over your skin and gives it a very unnatural look. So if you still got some time before your wedding please test and see what looks the most natural on you.

I tan deeply and easily so for me i would go for a natual tan cause it will look the most natural and no worries of messing make up on the dress. .... But i dont know your skin type
