Can't find extra virgin coconut oil anywhere! help!

I decided to try oil pulling and went on a search to find extra-virgin coconut oil (I live in Canada). Went to the supermarket and several health food stores. Can't find it anywhere!
Does anyone have an address on the net where I can find it?

And also, why coconut oil? When I google articles on oil pulling, they recommand another kind... Any other oil that anyone has had a good experience with in terms of oil pulling? And if so, again, how do I get it?

Thanks

Re: Can't find extra virgin coconut oil anywhere! help!

hi everyone, I cannot say how excited I have become since I have discovered that this condition has a name, it`s not only me suffering from it, and also about the coconut oil treatment. I live in the UK and tried to order EVCO online, but most of sellers are based in US and do not have international delivery, or if do, it will cost me a fortune. Does anyone know how I can get EVCO? please please help me!

Have you tried asking a local health food store or natural food store to order it for you? Most of them are happy to order a new product.

Freedom, you can use other oils to help KP, like untoasted sesame or sunflower oil.

I've never heard of "extra" virgin cocnut oil, but there is virgin, and expeller pressed. I can find virgin coconut oil all over the internet, and at almost every health food/vitamin store locally, but its very expensive. You can get expeller pressed for much cheaper, and it retains all of virgin coconut oils benefits, as far as I know, for topical use. Virgin coconut oil is more for cooking, because it retains some of the coconut flavor and color.

If you are rich, or just paranoid about using refined coconut oil, this site claims to have about the best virgin coconut oil available.

Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil - Certified Organic from Tropical Traditions

Here's about the cheapest refined coconut oil
I could find, but the shipping is like 11 bucks (if I figured out the shipping info. correctly).

Amazon.com: Tropical Traditions Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil, Non-Certified - 1-gallon: Health & Personal Care

Oh here's a link I found. There is NO SUCH THING as extra virgin coconut oil =P.

Coconut Oil : What's all the fuss about virgin coconut oil?

EDIT:
Cococnut Oil
"Throughout this article, "coconut oil" means virgin coconut oil -- oil that has not been refined, bleached, or deodorized. Although none of that processing is necessary, some manufacturers do it anyway, which produces the same problems as those associated with hydrogenated oils. (The 8% of unsaturated fats that coconut oil contains can be damaged by such high-heat processing.) So when you shop, look for virgin coconut oil -- oil that isn't bleached, refined, or deodorized."

I was wrong.
