This Cant Be Happening!
Oh my god! I hate HIGHSCHOOL. I am taking this Driver's Ed course for 10 graders and we are done the written part of the course which requires you to ..you know..study and take paper tests..stuff like that...Now we are getting into the actual driving test where you are going to be in the car driving. And who gets to drive first depends on your birthdate. Im a summer birthday so i'll be one of the last people to drive. Anyway, until i wait my turn to drive...i have to take GYM class over again until its my turn. And you HAVE TO wear a short sleeve shirt and shorts. I am going to DIE..I need this sh*t gone or improved by time i start gym. and thats in 4 days! I have to take it for 3 months. It's gonna be a long school year...

See a doctor. Explain how unhappy KP is making you, and ask for a note to show your gym teacher explaining the situation and requesting that you're allowed to wear tracksuit bottoms. Then, if your classmates ask why you're wearing them make something inoffensive up. Worked for me. My classmates weren't even curious why I was wearing them.
I know it won't help much (it's been 7 years since I was at school and had gym) but one day all of this...all of the horrid, sickening, self-conscious mess that is being a teenager and a schoolkid...will seem like a quick series of flashing memories. Having KP is not fun; having it as a kid and having to go to school is the worst part of a KP life. But it really does get better. |

Relax - it will get better
I agree - the age and stage your KP is at now is probably the worst! - little comfort I know. Be creative and wear longs - make up some excuse like your dog ate your shorts. Being a female I wore makeup to cover up the KPRF on my face plus other variants. I got a note saying it was okay and the teachers understood. Where possible minimalise your symptoms and where not possible do your best not to focus on them too much.
All the best. |

Life is not so difficult..
I had the similar problem. I had to wear sleeveless shirt and shorts in a feast in my country when I was at highschool. I had no alternative. But most of the people did not even ask anything regarding my skin. A few of my friends told me why I shaved (!) my skin. They even did not take it as a illness and thought that I shaved hair on my arms and legs. It was the one of the worst day in my life. After couples of years, when I did my military service, I also had to wear sleeveless shirts, as it was obligatory, for months. Only you can guess the way I felt. -It is really very nice to know that there are people that can understand my feelings. Anyway this is my golden rule:
"Never mind what others think and say, lead your life yourself and never let others ruin your life with their thoughts and words." Do this: Wear your sleeveless shirts & shorts and go to lead yourlife yourself! |

As much as i agree with that statement...i'd have to disagree with it aswell. I used to take that attitude, if you dont care what others think...it kinda gets lonely. |
