Exactly. People should adopt healthy children instead of reproducing more sick ones. (I guess there are not enough orphans and starving kids for some people around here.)If that is not an option, then at least choose not to have children rather than see them suffer with this. I don't know how people can claim to love children when they know they are just going to give them an incurable disease.

Huh? Are you suggesting that murder should be legal?

I have done more toward producing a solution to this problem and providing photos and information on exactly how to do it than anyone else has. I have done everything in my power to contribute, and for some reason I am taking the most criticism for it.
What have YOU done ? (Except criticize what I've done, obviously.)

To People who flame for no reason. We have enough to deal with trying to fix this disease. We don't need to be attacking each other.

What in the world did I ever do to you, Freedom? You asked me what I thought about things, and I answered. I gave you kindness and compassion.
Again, we get hostility where it is not due.

Starchick did, too, in virtually those exact words.
Why was she flamed for it?

And yes, I am leaving now so you can stop harrassing me. In fact, please don't contact me again for anything.

lost in translation...

bleh, i think the controversy on this particular forum is unfortunate.
i can see that everyone has the best intention at heart: starchick, freedom, turquoise, and whomever else i left out...

i do feel that some translation got lost in "typing" our responses..
at least in verbal communication the tone of one's speech is evident.

i really really feel that freedom has been more than honest about her KP and it's extremely comforting to have that support..
i also really really feel that turquoise is trying to help others, since she has benefitted from the AHA lotions she shares in her blog.

can we please take 2 steps back and recognize why we're here, please???
i'll be the bad guy and stick my neck out. i am SO grateful to this site and all the dediated users, it's a refreshing feeling... quite different from the real world. i feel as people with KP we all have a bond. now let's try to move on from this, please don't leave turquoise.

thanks for listening everyone. i'm concerned so if anyone has anything to say please feel free!!!!

Hey guys please don't be put off having kids cos you have KP!

I have two lovely bright healthy boys with KP and man what's the big deal about having KP anyway????

Hitler's aim was to produce the 'perfect' race - please let us not fall into the trap of thinking something is only good if it is in the world's eyes 'perfect' - arghhhh - this kind of thinking is scary stuff.

Turquoise is just a bitter and twisted attention seeking nutter. I think her problems in life are more to do with her 'sparkling personality' than her KP. I'm certainly not going to bother talking to her anymore. I don't think anybody else should feed the flames either.

This has really spiralled outta control. I think we should get back to the topic and how KP affects our lives/emotions.

At least in June, when I go away on holiday, I'll get a mild tan that will hide the KP... for a short while until my natural pastyness returns.

Has anyone seen the KP on their back? I can see a few lil traces of it which is annoying.

i am seeing KP on the lower back, but it's not as severe as my legs and arms!
i notice that tans do help KP, i never quite put the correlation til recently and I live in florida!

Yes we should get back to the topic but i do feel hurt that im not regarded perfect enough to have kids.....
Anyway guys i muct tell you that i tried something a bit weird ..please dont laugh..
I found a foot scrub rough skin remover but what caught my attention was that it said new advanced technogly now with aha acid fruits so i decided to buy it. When i used it on my skin it was a bit too course so i mixed it with my dove body wash so i exfoliated my skin with that. It did leave my skin quite silky feeling but i've only used it once so i dont know how well it will help my skin.

Does anyone have a problem with the red spots and found something to fade them?

Mrmark

If you research kp it is explained that keratosis pilaris is dry bumpy skin with a keratotic plug...right? But that is not the definition of the red dots so maybe the red dots isnt KP but only happens because of the kp so i think that the treatment MUST be different. We exfoliating removing the build up of dry skin but exfoliation is not getting rid of the red dots so we need to find out is what will soothe and fade the dots...

I think that nothing has been working because we using the wrong products on our skin...

i'm so confused! i read somewhere that scrubbing the bumps is not recommended, as it irritates the skin further...
but KP requires scrubbing to slough off the plugs right?

personally, anything i do is irritating to my KP.
even the rubbing from clothes seems to irritate them, and the red increases.

i also read that cotton is harsh on KP because it hinders skin from "breathing"

blah.
anyone have any suggestions?

Kp- girl

Well everyones skin react differently so what works for me wont work for you. If your skin gets irritated from scrubbing dont scrub... did you try using a aha lotion cause then the lotion will exfoliate and you wouldnt need to scrub.

i just received my AHA lotion in the mail today
i'm assuming it's best to use it after a shower, as the pores are open then.
also got my cocounut oil from the natural food store for OP.

i'm going to try out different things and see what works best. i'll let u guys know of the progress, i'm about 1 week into oil pulling and i told myself that i'll post after pictures after a month. (so nervous)

Hi Kp Girl how is the aha lotion treatment going. It takes long to see any improvement. My legs are looking a bit better too. The dota are becomeing light brown now but there is a cluster of bright red dots by my calves which is still as stubborn as ever. So i guess i must apply more aha there. What aha lotion did you get
