Exfoliating scrubs
Hi, everyone.
Like the lot of you, I'm a KP sufferer -- had it for over 10 years, and only within the last year did I realize what, exactly, where these ugly bumps on my arms (and now the backs of my thighs :O ) were! I've been using NeoStrata AHA 15% Lotion for some months. I am going to be honest and say that I haven't been as dedicated to using the lotion every day but I have upped the ante and have been more dedicated to it since last month, when my friend wanted me to be a part of her wedding as a bride's maid. Anyhoo, the Lotion is the best thing I've used so far; although the brownish spots are there (brownish for me because I am a coffee/caramel-colored Latina), the skin is very smooth and doesn't feel as bumpy as it looks. I've tried exfoliating throughout the years to improve my results but I guess I haven't been using the right kind? I've used a Thyme exfoliating scrub (which smelled better than it worked), Aveeno Positively Radiant exfoliating body wash, Benefit Bionic Blast Salicylic Body Scrub (it's for my acne on my back, but I figured, "what the hey..."), and Booth's Walnut Shell Body Scrub and Wash. Are there better suited exfoliators out there? I see that there's a KP Duty Exfoliating Scrub out but the general consensus is: KP Duty sux? (I haven't used it personally and I hear more bad about it than good, so...) So, I'm at a loss of what to use, if anything at all. I hope one of you can help me with this. Thanks a lot in advance, and God Bless. |

good body scrub - Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub
This stuff has 2% Salicylic Acid. I use it in the shower, then slather on a 6% Salicylic Acid lotion (prescription) and go to bed. Can't hurt, might be helping.

I second DallasReader's vote. That's what I use, and it has definitely helped my case.

Make sure to look carefully at the label before taking it to the cash register - the Neutrogena Body Clear WASH looks almost identical to the SCRUB in its packaging.

Again, agreed. The scrub is transluescent orange, the wash is transparent orange.

Ah, okay. Thanks. I have the body wash of that same kind, so I'll just go ahead and get the scrub, too. Thanks a lot!
