Dry Scalp? What shampoo do you use?

i've had dry scalp for a few years, just like the KP on my face....I believe they go hand in hand (IMO). Anyways, I use to use denorex, and loved it, but it hasn't seemed to work in the last 6 months... My derm prescribed Loprox... I use it every now and then. I don't really like it though... Shampoo's and advice would help me...

P.S. I believe once I find a shampoo that works on my head, then it will work on my face with the KP... The way my scalp feels is the same way my face feels, dry and itchy.. Also, I get the dry little circles coming out of my hair follicles on my head and the same thing happens with the hair on my face... The denorex did for 3 years, then it just stopped... Not sure why?????? Thanks...

I've tried nearly everything for my boyfriend's dry, flakey scalp, so I know where you're coming from. Right now what is working is, of all things, the new head and shoulder line- intense solutions. In the past it had seemed like any shampoo we got working would be fine for a few weeks and then it would stop working. We did have success with a salicylic acid shampoo made for psoriosis (sorry, can't remember the name) and with Proactiv's shampoo. He was also washing his hair with Castille soap (Dr. Brommers) for a while and that was working. But for all of these it only worked for a while. If I had to pick one to start with I might suggest the Dr. Brommer's. He was also using that on his skin, and while he doesn't have KP like I do, it did really seem to improve his skin clarity.

Tiny, I've used Denorex, which has 3% SA. Do you know how the SA differs from the 2% Zinc in the H&S? I was just curious...

As of right now, I've been using Loprox for a week now... So, I'm gonna continue that and see what happens.... Thanks...
