Re: Oil pulling treatment

hey everyone!!

I´ve been OPing for 12 days now and I think I´m having a break out. First I thought it was from the self-tanning lotion that I started to use but I stopped using it and the break out is still there. Im starting to have KP in places where I usually don´t have any, like the insides of my arms and on my stomach. I really hope this goes away again even when I continue OPing??? I tried OPing once before but discontinued it after it gave me some boils on my legs ...This time I wanna keep at it forat least 2 months no matter what...haven´t got much to lose anyway
but anyway, to those guys who`ve had a break-out, how long did it last? did it go all away?? just a bit scared ))

cheers everyone!!

Re: Oil pulling treatment

PS
it says that after you spit out the oil, rub yur sink clean with anti bactreial soap and stuff as it contains toxins. Instead can I just spit it in the toilet and flush it?

Also, does that mean I have to use antibacterial soap to clean my cup and spooon?

AND is it a tablespoon or teaspoon? =S
thanks!

Re: Oil pulling treatment

Day 9

Oil pulled with one tablespoon of walnut oil for twenty minutes. Notice no difference.
Day 10

Oil pulled with one tablespoon of walnut oil for twenty minutes. I asked my mum what she thought and she said she could see that it was a little bit better. It looks just as bad as usual to me, though. Redness and bumps still there.

Re: Oil pulling treatment

Mademoiselle,

Yes, you can spit in the toilet, except if you use coconut oil. Coconut oil solidifies under 76-74 degress, so it might plug up the toilet. I spit in a plastic bag (I save them from grocery shopping when I buy produce) and throw the the bag in the garbage. My sister spits outside in her yard, my son spits directly in the kitchen garbage can -- whatever works for you.

Just wash your cup and spoon like you normally would -- hot water and dish soap.

One tablespoon of oil is recommended. I use two teaspoons (three teaspoons make one tablespoon).

Re: Oil pulling treatment

THanks smallcutewitch.

I don't know if I am Oping too little. I only OP 10 minutes =P

I was thinking, ok trhis is VERY off topic but would laser hair removal help KP ? I mean the keratin protein thingie usually sits atop the follicles pores, once it is removed the hair coil and suich, wouldn't it decrease? or jkmust go away?!?! =P

Hi scw - (I think of Kiki from Kiki's delivery service when I see your nickname) I started noticing various things almost immediately with OP but I started with sesame oil. And though, yes, walnut's one of my favorites, it's not one of the usual oils people start with. It's got a similar fatty acid profile to sesame and sunflower in many ways so in a way I'm thinking, since you're a willing participant, try coconut oil maybe instead, it has a very different profile and some people swear by it. I don't pull it but the others work great for me. Also, it seems to me that if a person is drinking a lot of coffee or alcohol, that might interfere with some of these more gentle approaches but I don't know for sure.

Hey OPers - how much coffee or tea or alcohol do you drink and OP still works for you?

I drink 3 or 4 cups of black tea in the AM and a few green teas during the day. OP has worked for me fine all the time. I don't drink alcohol though almost ever.

so, just some thoughts...
-bd

Re: Oil pulling treatment

Hi BD,

After almost a year of not drinking coffee, I have started indulging again. I drink one cup every morning, after I oil pull. It doesn't seem to make a difference, though there may be subtle changes I can't see. Maybe alcohol once a month (tequila!) and almost no green tea.

Re: Oil pulling treatment

This is getting really annoying - I look at my legs and think my KP looks better, but then I look at it again a few minutes later and it looks bad.
