Re: My search is over!

I can definitely say that the AHA has cleared up my face. I don't know, I got really lazy with the dermabrasion (which was helping) and just decided to wash my face as normal and apply AHA once a day.

Now people are complimenting me on my skin instead of asking if I just have "little acne everywhere." While the bumps aren't completely gone, there might be 10 or so on each cheek towards the corners, it's such a difference. My skin (on my face) is smooth and glowing. I'm so grateful that this has worked for me.

I just need to stop being lazy and exfoliate my legs and arms...

Re: My search is over!

if I am interested in trying the microdermabrasion crystals, do I have to buy from the website on the first page of this thread? Does anyone know of a place in Toronto where I can pick this stuff up?

Re: My search is over!

Hi! I need advice! Im about 1 ½ weeks into the AHA-treatment (started out with about a month of dermabration) and Im experiencing trouble. After the scrubbing my skin was completely smooth and looked much healthier but now that Ive begun using the lotions the skin (on my arms and calves in particular) are rough and the dots are very red. The bumps have started to re-appear too! No itching but it does sting a little when i apply the lotion. Im panicking! What should I do? Im using NeStrata 15. Should I switch to DCL's 10 for awhile?
Any help would be very appreciated!

hmmmm, my best guess is that you could've stayed with the dermabrasion for a couple more weeks. I think Turq recommends 6 to 8 weeks but double check at her site:

Re: My search is over!

^^ The thing is, I've been battling my kp for years with different scrubs etc so it wasnt all that bumpy to begin with. I stopped the microdermabrasion when it was almost completely smooth just like Turquoise recommends on her website.
But thanks for linking Turquoise's site, I needed to read her guide again.
Ill give my skin on my arms a few days to heal before i start with the AHA again. And only the 10% this time! Ill keep you updated on any progress
